  • funniest baptism ever.

  • If your not haveing fun being a christian your not doing it right! PTL

  • Jesus cannonballed in with you, kid. :)

  • Awesome!!!

  • Haha funny!! Lol it is good to see that he was exited to get baptized!!

  • Jesus would laugh so much at the joy!

  • Glad the kid realizes church is a joke...

  • @Horason No, he realizes that you can joke in church. Big difference.

  • Don't forget to piss in the pool kids.

  • Religulous By Bill Maher :)

    DL@the.pirate.bay.or.g

  • @ribs002 the most one-sided "documentary" I've ever seen

  • I don't know what to say because like the pastor said "that is a first."

  • i love the look on the pastor's face when he realizes the kid is actually going to do it. This guy must be a fun loving minister or NO ONE would have laughed.

  • @runtyoung Good for you. I mean, heck, if you can't be JOYFUL at your own baptism... that was awesome. I hope you're still that joyful in your faith. God bless.

  • That's on big leap of faith

  • That pastors true colors came out when he yanked the kid by the arm. What would he of done in the absence of the crowd and camera??

  • @jayone451 nothing.

  • Does that look like the kid with the rat tail from Jesus Camp to anybody else?

  • God isn't real. berblooaawwwwwww.

  • @d00fAl00f Huh?

  • How sad that people think it's OK to make light of baptism just because of nervousness. I'm thankful that Jesus did not make light of his death on the cross before THOUSANDS because he was nervous! Imagine if he had spit the water in the guards faces or made jokes from the cross just because he was trying to relieve some tension!

This is about RESPECT people, not about how the boy feels.

  • @AcaiBunch Really, how DID you come up to equating our laughter to this video to pedifiles enjoying little girls? I think you might need to reread the story of the Prodigal Son again. Don't be like the older brother. I'm calling you out, but only out of love and concern.

  • @Busterbooable That's right, just because someone finds enjoyment at something does not make it right. I am talking about mindset, and heart attitude. "Out of the mouth the heart speaks." This boy, and I am noticing, many people obviously do not respect what Baptism represents. The wise accept rebuke. This boy was in no way ready to enter the waters of Baptism.

  • Respond to this video...

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. People's reactions to this video are clear indicators of their heart attitude toward Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

  • It would seem this boy was not ready to enter the waters of Baptism. I can see now why our pastor requires meetings for membership before people, especially kids, are baptized!

  • haha wow

  • what did the priest say?

  • @jaesunha he said he was a baptist for 25 years and this was a first. and probalbly not the last

  • Lord, Grant me the serenity..... hahaha

  • HAHA GENIUS. That kid is pure win!

  • @SuperTruth77 how exactly do you know you're cum tastes sweeter? do you taste your cum?

  • ppl real baptism is in the name of jesus....acts 2:38 says it real clearly Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

in matthew 28:19 saysGo ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAME(singular) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

the father son and holy spirit is one...and what is that name JESUS

  • @rickyp8163 it's just the trinitarian formula (or however its spelled). It is still the belief that all three are in ways one in the same, simply taking on various forms of himself. God is GOD, he can do that if he chooses.

  • amen, hallelujah.

  • The Lord be praised for the gift of baptism! Be proud of yourselves for living out the truth of this eternal wonder!

Since I became baptised, I have noticed many benefits to my life. I have cast off the old man, and taken up the new. My old wrongs have been washed away. I am a better man to myself & my neighbours. My cum tastes much sweeter. I now live with Christ every day, and walk with him wherever I go...

  • @SuperTruth77 your cum tastes much sweeter? well, thank ''jesus'' for that one

  • why i can`t say anything good about throwing The Bible and treat is with respect .

  • I personally have always wanted there to be a waterslide baptism...

  • Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

    The Father: Yahweh יהוה

    The son: Yeshua ישוע,

    The Holy Spirit: Noah נחמה

  • At :55 the pastor throws his Bible like an ordinary book. I thought the video was funny until it got to the part where he threw the Bible like a tv remote. The Bible is God's Word!!!! TREAT IT WITH RESPECT!!!!.......even if its accidentally wet.!

  • @theplacebo666 why are you on here if you dont have anythig good to say. im a christian and im not gonna let someone make fun of the bible. John 3:16 Anyone who believeth in me shall not perish but have everlasting life. im warning you you will have eturnal punishment in the lake of fire. but if you trust in him with all your might you will live with him in paradise.

  • @ugabugaman100 ---Looks like he just gently dropped on the floor.

  • My husband is a preacher. I find this funny. Cone on folks, even God has a sense of humor.

  • this was at my friends church!

  • I'm getting baptized 2 days before I go back to school. What a way to end my summer! Unfortunately it's gonna be at a lake and I may be the only person being baptized so not cannonball for me!

  • Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Our one baptism is not water. Something to think about.

  • People thought this was funny.

"Put the poor pastor in a rough spot. He should have said, “congrats young man, you just gave your testimony. Get out.”

    TF

  • To all who say that this kid was irreverant. Baptism demonstrates the person's willingness to follow Christ. Celebrating in whatever way you choose is not a bad thing!

  • @ncquillen, devoting your life to worshipping make-believe fairies is a bad, bad thing. That was the last fun that kid's ever going to have.

  • @ncquillen Well, it's either celebrating or being an asshole for the fun of it.

    Besides, it's just water.

  • this is just GREAT

  • That kid has the right attitude.

  • This is soooooo FuNNNNNNYYYYYYYY

  • I watched this on AFV this morning!

    AmDrag

  • now i wanna be Baptism...... FTW

  • This kid is my new hero

  • LOL...i like shorty's style...true he needs a butt woopen...but hey...that's how he felt!LOL

  • idk why its such a big deal as an athiest i find this extremely funny!

  • I think God was laughing too. And, he KNOWS he exists. lol.

I think we get too uptight and miss the whole point of God.

  • i think most people do aswell...as an athiest i believe the bible to be a book filled with life long lessons rather than the word of god...this video made me smile because it tells e not all religious people are uptight

  • True; not all are uptight.

Of course, I consider myself the Howard Stern of Christianity. I despise legalistic types, so, when I run across them, I tend to show them they try to be "holier than God" (as if). I just love pointing out passages such as Ezekiel 23:20 where we see God use some very colorful language I think a legalist called it borderline pornographic. Lol.

  • lol "borderline pornographic"? some people dont even know what to say anymore lol well considering the fact that even though i read the bible for the teachings of life lessons and virtues, i dont consider myself as holier than god because i realy dont feel and or know what you probably do. by the way i give you props on showing some people your opinion dont let anybody prove you wrong or shut you up!

  • I believe in keeping it real. And so did God when he came here. He really turned people on their heads. lol

  • That was awesome... Im a minister, let the kids have some fun....

  • @newhgtspro - I have one question for you...how is this awesome? I would rate this up there with someone trying to to pull the table cloth off of the communion table without knocking anything off. In my opinion - people that find this funny, do not have a high view of God.

  • @newhgtspro , give him some fun with a shop-vac.

  • @newhgtspro they can have reasonable fun at pool...

  • I've seen alot of water babtisms before and althouggh they should be treated with a certain amount of respect I cannot see anything inappropriate in this at all. The parents- the kid - their congregation will all laugh for years and years to come. THe pastor was laughing about it and I'm sure afterward in the sport of good clean fun all were entertained! This kid was getting babtised...not robbing a liquor store or out doing horrible teenage things so you know ...I'm sure god would;a laughed too

  • Allright, to you bashing the kid. First off I was there I attended this church for several years. The preacher always told people when they were nervous to do a cannon ball, He never thought that anyone would ever do this. That kid is not a disrespectful kid, he is one of the most respectful kids i know. and buy the way i laughed for weeks just thinking of this

  • Thanks for sharing this. I think it's monumentally important to explain WHY the kid would do this. I found it hilarious, and I think God is amused by it too.

  • @themarkofchrist The preacher TOLD people to do a cannon ball!? What did he expect? Obviously he does not respect the waters of baptism either, what they symbolize or what it means to God!

  • CHILL OUT!!!!guys,he's a little boy,wat r we going to do next, send him to prison?OF COARSE NOT!he was just excited to get in and be baptised...weren't all ogf you if you've been baptised?maybe you need to rethink about what you're all sayin if your making bad comments...good,gosh!

  • One last thing. Funny church moments are typically unexpected and don't involve kids trying to play pranks in front of the entire congregation. Water Baptism is a time to show everyone your declaration of faith in Christ, not try to be the most memorable baptism of the evening.

  • And I know some are going to tell me to lighten up, it's only a joke. In all honesty, if the kid knew why he was being water baptized, why did he treat it like a stage show then? There's a time and place to be funny in church, but doing it deliberately in the sanctuary to draw attention to oneself is not the right time.

  • That was funny, but disrespectful to the guy performing the baptism. I have witnessed multiple water baptisms in my life and have not once seen any kid, regardless of age, treat the baptismal tub like a swimming pool. The kid's parents should have told him outside of the sanctuary that doing that was inappropriate for a church service.

  • @Rawk4Life

You're right, you haven't seen anyone treat it like a pool. That's why this is a 5 star video on youtube.

The minister was laughing, the congregation as well. Obviously they enjoyed it. He is showing his dedication to Christ; he has the faith to treat a baptism and its audience as his family, and he's close enough to God to do it all with a smile on his face.

This isn't a "prank", this is a little kid enjoying his baptism. He knows why he's being baptized, believe me.

  • The little kid is "enjoying his baptism?" He's FIVE! I have seen kids his age get baptized, but even they're smart enough to know not to act like they're at a friend's

party during a church service. And, if the pastor was telling people to do a cannonball in the event they were nervous, he should have known better than to say it in the presence of easily impressionable children. Kids will do anything they're told unless someone steps in and tells them what is right and wrong.

  • Okay so if the kid is smart enough to know not to act like they're "at a friend's party" as you said, then he can obviously perceive if he is enjoying his baptism. And you have to admit as I said: the pastor/minister was enjoying it as well as the congregation, and his enjoyment only shows that he's dedicated to God and loves him.

I don't understand the last bit of your argument starting at "pastor was telling people to do a cannonball...", but I can tell you that this kid did nothing wrong.

  • The kid does not understand water baptism to do that because being water baptized means being submerged in water. Why does he need someone to baptize him if he's going to do it himself?

  • @BehemothPaintball Just because people enjoyed it and laughed doesn't make it OK. Pedophiles enjoy little girls too, does that make it ok? God has a standard, if we fail to meet that standard we fail to pleas Him.

  • @AcaiBunch That makes no sense. You may have to lighten up a tiny bit. Remember that we are made in God's likeness. Please note that the whole human race has a sense of humor, therefore if we are made with God's emotions, He must be funny. For crying out loud he made a donkey talk! Now look, if everybody started doing cannonballs for baptisms then I would worry about respect. But baptism brings about the greatest joy of accepting Christ and proclaiming it among peers! Let the kid jump!

  • I dont think that it was wrong that he did it. it was funny, it is a very serious matter, i understand that, but Jesus laughed too. "Let the little children come to me" I would imagine that He would have enjoyed it

  • It is very sad, disturbing, and discouraging to see that people even in the churches lost their reverence and holy respect, the fear of the Lord disappeared from their hearts...I do not blame that ignorant boy, I blame his family and his pastor for not teaching him how to behave and conduct himself in the house of the Lord.

  • So everyone laughing in the church should also "go to the shed"..??!! Relax.. Forgiveness, understanding - Remember!!! He is a kid and this is funny...

  • The Pastor should forgo baptizing the young man as he needs to be counseled first. Knowledge of the Holy is understanding Pro. 9:10.

For the pastor to proceed with the baptism would contribute to demeaning the solemnity of the work of Christ. A trip to the woodshed would also be in order.

  • Lighten up...he's a kid. There's a difference between childishness and foolishness. Sounds like you need a trip to the woodshed.

  • @baldbrothersstudio FOOLISHNESS is bound up in the heart of a child. Proverbs 22:15 We should not allow a child to represent the standard for Christian living.

  • @AcaiBunch EXCUSE ME!?! I'm not saying that children are wise and great mystics, but come on! Matthew 19:14 clearly states: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Those are words coming from JESUS himself!

I am getting a bit annoyed at you but I'll hold my tongue. Besides, what is the point? You obviously did not comprehend my last comment towards you. In the words of Monty Python and the Holy Grail: "You make me sad."

  • the verse you provided does nothing to support your argument. There are more important things about the work of Christ than "solemnity." As matter of fact I'd put that as the least important thing if it even made the list at all.

  • i think reverence would be a better woord for that.

  • Im going to see if they can play this @ church. It was so funny. I m sure even God has a sense of humor

  • You can be assured he does, and let me tell yah even i believe he was rolling in his seat over that baptism LOL

  • I'm being baptised in two weeks, and I'm extremely nervous. I mean to have over 500 people watching you! :O

But this vid made me feel MUCH, MUCH better! :)

  • i woulda kicked his ass casue are church stuff there over 200.000 in equpiment right unde the tank

  • yeah...that's right kick his ass...that's what good church goin people do

  • I'm had the Pastor knew not to touch the mic after that cannon ball. :-)

  • Is the baptismal font filled with holy water or just plain water. Anyway, this is the last thing I expected in church. I just can't stop laughing right now. Too hilarious! =) LOL

  • Hilarious!!!!!! cant stop laughing im sure god is 2

  • i haven't been baptized yet, but maybe i should do this at mine

  • i wish i would have thought of that at my babtism

  • AWESOME!

  • Only here, would a kid cannonballing into the baptismal cause a debate about the theology and maturity of all involved. Tell me that we're not all that humorless?

  • hahaha! this video rocks! i would have loved to see that in person!!!!! :)

  • I would've loved to be the guy doing the cannonball!

  • HAHAHAHA!!

  • MAN I WISH THAT KID WENT TO MY CHURCH!! at least some people have a sense of humor at my church but that was AWESOME!!

  • For you eternal sake Running Scissors, I hope your right!

  • I know I'm right. You can stop kissing my ass.

  • I am born again Christian of 18 years and a former Sunday School teacher... AND THAT WAS RIGHTEOUSLY HILARIOUS

  • Comment removed

  • Having grown up as a PK in a rather legalistic church, I see this as a moment of innocence. I imagine GOD laughed at this kid's enhusiasm and we should too.. Christians need to laugh more and ENJOY God more. There is a time for all the seriousness too, but if we can't laugh once in a while, how will the people on the outside looking in say to themselves.."You know something? I WANT THAT"

  • The posters who are all up in arms about this are exactly the reason why more young people don't go to church. Nobody has a sense of humor there.

  • That was terrific!!!

  • Sorry, but I think you're in the minority here, this is VERY funny, and a moment to treasure.

  • Oh lighten up. He's just a kid. There are times and places to be serious and try to control people and situations to act exactly how YOU want, and childhood isn't one of them.

  • Personally, I don't think he's too young to understand why he's being baptized, what he's doing, or the fact that this is something which should be treated with respect. I think his behavior suggests a lack of proper preparation, and possibly discipline, and I disagree with the congregation's apparent encouragement of his behavior. That said, I also believe that, if he were too young to understand, he shouldn't be baptized in the first place. However, those are my opinions based on my beliefs.

  • yes that is so true and how can he be baptized if he is 6 i do not think they know all about christ then.

  • I got saved at 6 years old and I understood fully that if I died I would go to hell. It all comes down to when a person realizes right from wrong.

  • what's there to know?? he's a magical being that doesn't exist

  • yeah it's every kids dream to act proper during childhood! but man k agree with pickeldbeatnik! LIGHTEN UP MAN!! HE'S A KID!! and if we arent enthusiastic about church then i don't see the point! if my church didn't have people with a sense of humor i would kick and scream until my parents let me stay home on saturday mornings! and i think that he does take it seriously. he's just one of those people we fun unproper people call fun. and i bet God thought it was HILARIOUS!!

  • this made HISTORY!

    i LMFAO!

  • that is hilarious look how can u be man ad this kid ..he is a kid and excited about god ...he should enjoy it

  • I heard it on the radio and came to check it out. I don't think it's too cool.

I have been in church all my life and am real active in a contmporarty church.

Kid's parents are gonna have more issues from this kid and many of them, they will deserve.

  • Lighten up, you'll live longer.

  • yeah right...that kid will be a preacher one day....remember there is power in your text, and we really shouldnt be judging the rest of his life by this....rnt u real active in a contemporary church?

  • @ Uparms

Baptism is a demonstration that one has accepted Christ! Now assuming this is the case here (as baptism does not save) and the young man got saved, legitimately saved, God says that the angels in heaven are celebrating.

Then, he says, "Let the children come to me".

Of course, we were unaware of the fact the pastor gave permission (even if he didnt expect to be taken up on it).

All said, I think God was up in Hevaen saying, "Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!"

  • OMGosh HAHAHA! I love how the kid's nodding his head as if to say "OOOOOOOOHHHH YEEEEAAAAH! I'M BAAAAAAAD!!!" as the preacher's saying "This is a 1st...and it will be a last"

  • LOL thats all i gota say

  • ROFL!!! I absolutely love this!

  • i love this!
