UPDATE: THE MISSING KEY had it's Australian premiere at the Sydney Film Festival on June 13th, 2011. More film festival screenings are in the pipeline!
UPDATE: While the film obviously was not released late 2009, we are on track for late 2010. We watched a rough assembly of the full 30 minutes a few weeks ago, and it looks amazing.
do you need an extra in The Missing Key? I have worked with phonographs and I can get by in Morse. I work through lunch and I come with my own cage. I have established a professional rapport with gondolas and gondola boatpeople.
To answer some questions about the music in this preview, the song is by the director, Jonathan Nix. The music in the film is composed by Jonathan, Miles Nicholas and Kathryn Brownhill, and performed by them with a number of other very talented musicians. This song was mixed by J.Walker of Machine Translations.
We will be putting up another sneak preview clip from the film sometime soon.
The song is called Home, and it was written and performed by myself, with Kathryn Brownhill on violin and Cathy Tibrett on Cello. Mixed by J Walker of Machine Translations.
Ohh...this look is so dreamy yet earthy. Reminds me of "Hello", which I am so in love with...it makes my heart ache! Too bad I can't find that on youtube. :(

I can only imagine exactly how long just these bits of trailer must've taken to create (and they're flawless)!!

Jonathan I am going to make a movie where people have computers for heads instead you don't mind do you?
Would you like to animate it perhaps? I couldn't pay you but you would get your name out there which is worth every penny I'm not paying you.
mikejlr21 3 years ago
Why don't I pay you to make it...you sound like a really savvy guy.

I shall use this salary to employ a team of animators. I could find you a position if you wanted.

This is beautiful. Is it all hand drawn? It would have taken ages!

It is. Hand drawn, and hand painted in watercolour. It takes years, and years, and years, and years.
