Julian has a much better voice then Sean, although I am sure there are "TONS" of Sean fans. He had mega money voice lessons etc, and he still sucks. What IS tragic is that John and Julian were starting to mend a relationship that was crap, also, I really disliked Yoko, UNTIL John was shot, and I saw her and listened to what she said and my heart broke for her. As far as being a heroin addict, back then WHO WASN'T?

I think Lennon was a good person but what he did to poor Julian and his mother is TERRIBLE! Didn't even send Julian any acknowledgment! Julian a great singer compared to Sean, too. I have nothing against John, Sean, or Yoko. But who knows, maybe if he never left his first wife maybe he'd still be alive! I know that's a terrible thing to say, but one wonders...

yeah, but with all of the media attention john was getting with his peace rallies like the bed-in, he really couldn't raise a son. but i do agree with you, he should have cared more about his son than anything else. he wasn't a very good father.

John was a human being with all the nobility and frailties that come with the territory. He was no saint.
John Lennon's father skipped out and John's mom parked him with Aunt Mimi. He didn't have a male role model to learn parenting skills growing up.
John had to contend with the life of a successful Rock musician with all the negatives that come with the territory.
Could you do as well?
Yoko did help John become a better father with Sean.

Without John confronting his past, including uniting his son during his Lost Weekend, John will not become a better father according to John's best friends.
It was really May Pang, not Yoko that John realize his mistakes and become a better father.

Wrong? If May Pang was so important, why did John return to Yoko? Did May Pang support John's wish to be a house husband and raise Sean (which occurs after 18 month lost weekend)? The Lennons may have their relationship challenges, however, Yoko called both John and May nearly every day.

It's weird; John and his mother started getting close when he was a teenager and died when he was 16.
Julian and John started bonding when he was a teenager and John died when he was 17.

@topgunXXXI John always had such an issue with the fact that HIS dad left him when he was a kid, but despite that, he decided to leave his own son, Julian anyways. And Julian has said that John used to call him a "mistake after a few too many drinks" right to his face. He was a great dad to Sean, but he never cared for Julian. Watch a video on here called "Julian Lennon on John" and you'll get more detail from Julian himself.

@Canadianabanana maybe he was just trying to be blunt with the boy... not lying to him.. he and his mom were having a good night , some drinks, started getting hot and some babies got made.. it wasnt planned.. so technically it is a mistake after a few too many drinks. Not a mistake in the sense that he wished it didnt happen, but that it just happened.

@Canadianabanana I think it had a very negative affect on well one, world peace, two, today's music, and third, Sean and Julian's music careers.. They are great, don't get me wrong. But like Sean, he doesn't "believe" in happy songs, which were in a sense what launched the Beatles success.

IF U read the 100's of books, etc one WILL find TRUTH! he was a father who was world famous, who had disagreements with Jules mum took care of them both very well. He was married too young then real fame came was making a living for his family & life took him down a path to finding out FINALLY who HE was. SOUND FAMILIAR? Lennon was exemplary human & no different than me or you. ONLY HE IS A MUSICAL GENIUS! I say IS because he IS still here, forever.

@Pommejaune78 Apparently you dont see the whole picture & are taking Julians comment out of context....Jules loves his father in the same way that many kids do when the family is broken up. No ones fault, such has happened for ions, & the kids feel abandoned....IF I were abandoned, I could NOT think of a better person to be abandoned by, but in this case actually NOT REALLY abandoned at all......many have followed, read, SEEN THEM, & researched for yrs & yrs, myself since 1965.
