Mantas wrote so many classic riffs, it's crazy. If you listen to just the first four Venom albums and all the singles from 81-85, the awesome riffs just come one after the other. Jeff Dunn is above all a great songwriter.
@CounterRhythms 100% agree. The guys riffs were amazing. Maybe the best riff writer in all of speed/thrash/death metal. The bridge in Genocide, the riff to Countess Bathory, Dead of The Night, the bridge in Hounds of Hell, Black Metal, Leave Me in Hell, Rip Ride, (the whammy distorted solo & outro in the video version of Witching Hour just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up) and so many more. Forget Kirk Hammet or King/ Haneman, this guy is the Jimmy Page or of extreme metal.
@8ottantacinque5 Certianly wouldn't say that at all, Metal Black was great, Hell was less but not terrible, Venom is now far heavier than it was in 80s, they've progressed so much since Jeff was last even useful in the band, which i'd say is Resurrection, because Cast In Stone was a fucking joke, Dryll is pretty shit tbh, also in other videos with Prime Evil, they claim to do a better version of Black Metal, hell no, Venom is the only band that can pull that song off and do it fucking right!
Shit he looks good. I would hardly recognize him.

to me Jeff is the true essence of Venom.
Cronos is only the appearance, but without Jeff's music VENOM is less than zer0.
"Metal Black" and "Hell" are bad as liquid shit
