That's right. I use a doublebass pedal while i'm recording because i only have 1 bassdrum-microphone.

When i'm just practising, i use both kickdrums.

Well, its quite simple, you keep on playing the bass and on the 3rd bass you play the snare.

On the 1st and 3rd bass you play a hihat.
