  • Then I exploded like some dicker of the climaxes

    When a peculiar figure skater gets wet wrapped up in his crow’s nest;

Or like corpulent Cortez when with dong poles

He eject’d at the dead - and all his toyboys

Spasm’d at each other with a boiling shot -

Well-greased, upon a prick chez Darien.

  • Many have I spanked chez the pigeons of biliousness,

    And myriad Junoesque bosoms and spheres taken a shufti at;

Round umpteen creepie lollipop men have I cheated death

Which swingers in fealty to Miss Universe penetrate.

Oft of uncommon mutating girth had I been brainwashed

    That ample—pecker’d Spenser bastard typed as it were his joint possession;

Yet did I never ejaculate its white hot liquid

Till I smelled Studbutler ejaculate in the open air obscene and pungent:

  • Isso não é um filme, é o seriado de TV exibido pela BBC! O filme é só o de 2004 mesmo.

  • The new one is better.

  • Its a shame Mr Adams is no longer with us.

  • Good call mate! :)

  • Não era um filme fio... era uma série!

It wasnt a movie (like is in the description of the video)...

  • R.I.P. Douglas Noel Adams...

May 25th, towel day in his memory, carry a towel all day, fans of The Guide...

  • I dont understand everyones problem with the film. I find it very entertaining myself, and enjoy the books as well. I think the film did very well for the character of the book and frankly, I prefer the Jim Henson Vogon puppets to the old vogons. Its all entertainment, If its cool with Douglas, its cool with me :)

  • i agree all the hitchhikers stuff is awesomely funny

  • In my version of the movie, the Golgafrinchans are seen walking out of a theater after seeing, "Casablanca" and commenting on what an incredible movie it was; and later they are seen walking out of a lame Disney movie and commenting with the exact same awed tones. The Guide mentions that they do not have a gland that causes discernment. They can be quite rabid fans of Sherlock Holmes, whether presented as an English eccentric genius or as a fat, balding womanizing wrestler. It's all good.

  • This version was better than the movie in every respect except for the low budget effects, although the even Guide's graphics were better in this.

  • o.o

  • Where can I find a torrent for this series?!?!?!

  • I have a CRAZY idea. Why don't you buy it, instead of steal in and that way all the regular folks like you and I, get to keep their jobs?

Whacked I know, but it's not a bad idea to PAY people for the work they do. I'm sure you like it.

  • Even crazier idea - how about you take 2mins out of your hectic schedule and search for it YOURSELF? honestly, young people today want everything handed to them on a plate....

  • google MF

  • @ROOKTABULA i bet you watch opera.

  • @DeweyDuck420

Well you just lost that bet but I KNOW, that you are a nonsensical, mouth breather, Vogon.

Have a steaming hot mug of STFU.

    My treat.

  • I love Douglas Adams... he's the most amazing person ever (right after Ford Prefect *fangirl squee*)

I liked the new movie, but it pains me to watch it... they took out my favorite part:

'Ford, you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.'

  • BBC TV version was best ever. The movie was pretty crap to be honest.

I just wish they had continued the TV series for the rest of the books.

  • i thought the movie wasn't that bad but the books were better

  • All I know is that the recent movie they made really butchered the story.

  • they cancled out the goodies! the most gratest show on earth!

  • The film was a travesty.Douglas Adams would have been spinning in his grave. The original series was exactly the same as the 1st two books. The film left out too much important material & was Political Correctness gone mad. Awful Marvin, Black Ford Prefect & woman Deep Thought!!!

  • Err..Douglas Adams co-wrote the screenplay for the 2005 film.

  • If you were TRULY a Douglas Adams fan you would know, as stated by Adams himself, that the only consitency there is in HGttG is INCONSISTENCY. The radio play got revised dozens of times, and the books, games and comics all showed marked differences from one another.

Any TRUE HGttG fan would know this and accept the movie as living up to the grand tradition other adaptations has set.

  • OK, adl37 has been officially web cockslapped. to see this footage again in slow motion, hold down ALT and press F4.

  • I prefer this and the CD to the feature film. I prefer the new Marvin though.

  • love the show watched the movie about year ago and was disappointed

  • guys i have the book and the original tv series on dvd..get them now..the film is ok but not a patch on the original series

  • Wich one is best. This version or the film?

I like them both. How about the book itself. Don´t count the radio show. Wich one is the best?

  • Why dont you count the radio show? It came first... and it really is the best.

  • God, the start of an era!

  • How posh was that announcer?!

  • I own the dvd of the tv series! Best cheesiest thing ever!

  • i love this movie and i have it on dvd thanks dad

  • Never seen the TV series but i agree with you guys about the movie. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. The raido broadcast was the best.

  • when I see the TV clips it makes me really want to get a DVD of the TV version. I never saw the movie I figured I could be horribly disappointed just as easily without spending the $9.50 a ticket

  • wow, rare clip! thanks.

  • Brilliant, groundbreaking, ingenious and even timeless which way Douglas Adams welded a whole generations feeling for speech, language and sillyness (which reflects our reality the same way, as Monty Python's have done). Although german tv was airing it sundays in the afternoon - if i remember properly - it was monday's the major subject for schoolyard talks.

  • The origional radio series was the best of all. Apparently D.Adams was a lovely guy, but usless when it came to dead lines, on more than one occasion he was still writing as it was being recorded, so the cast had to read direct from his scripts, no practice, no re writes no nothing.

  • BOOOOO. Never mention that sacrilege which is the movie version of Hitchhikers Guide. Douglas Adams must be rolling over in his grave after the way they raped his masterpiece. I mean seriously, what were they thinking?

  • The film's rubbish. All there seems to be on YouTube is clips from the movie. Please can we have more clips from the 1981 bbc series?

  • I second that!

  • Yeah. The genius (and close to the book) plot of the old series with the special effects of the movie would have been the greatest movie ever made.

I was really disappointed when I left the cinema and immediately started watching the old series when back home. :)

  • Amen brother. The TV series was genius; better than the book(s) even. I didn't expect much from the movie, but it was worse than I even imagined. (Where to start? I liked the dolphin musical at the beginning, kind of--otherwise, total rubbish.)

  • that's the tv trailer not the film

  • It does say "1981."

The movie was EEEEEEVIIIIIIL. And this is coming from someone who saw two clips and the beginning of the trailer. It was EEEEEEEEEEVIIIIIIIIIIIIL. *crawls away to die at the mere mention of the movie*

  • Then youre saying that Douglas Adams himself is evil I take it, as he wrote the script himself.

If Adams was okay with the changes (Because almost all were his idea, with only a few being his widows) If it's okay with Doug, it should be okay with everyone.

Unless of course you're saying you know HGttG better than the very man who created it.

  • Jeltz looks like a giant plant.

  • awesome
