yeh bro i was in rewa wen i saw that. must of watched it for about 5min before it disappeared. we had a pretty good view and could see it had quite a long trail behind it coulda bn a meteor or maybe a satellite/spacecraft returning to earth?
It's a plane! Mangere air port is in the area and that's just sunlight reflecting off the plane as it heads toward the sunset.

I saw this from the top of the Pakuranga Highway.
I thought it might have been a plane with jet trails at first, but the angle was too steep.
Could anyone else see the fire behind it, or was that just the light at the time?
