My 96' Mustang GT was doing something similar, I had a bad throwout bearing, fried clutch, and cracked flywheel.
The bag sound I was hearing was when I was coming up to a stop and I could hear the transmission chatter as I would slow down. I had my clutch, flywheel and throwout bearing replaced for $575
why would you buy a camera off the internet for 9 dollars? hahaha

exactly the same on my BMW.... weird vibrating on 1st gear - flywheel damaged:( :(

@cacal33t It's not the clutch, it's the flywheel.

@DemoFly yeah but the price of a new clutch is not that expensive... so all the effort to get to the clutch, might as well change it all! :)
