I think the story is that hocc knows that she will died (at 2:00) and she left the guy after she knows it. The guys didn't know that's why she left him until he saw the ceremony car?

In the MV, hocc secretly admired a guy and always wanted him to have lunch with her...but the guy was late and hocc died (cause not mentioned), which echoes with "The Butterfly Lovers".

Even though the guy is now deeply remorsed, another scene (an imaginary situation) shows that if hocc didn't die, they would have lived together (not necessarily happy though). Even without hocc's death, another tragedy might happen anyway, and would be even worse.

I don't know if it makes sense but this is how I interpret it:

1) hocc is 'dead' in the mv, I think it's just metaphorically saying that her love for this guy is 'dead'

2) when the guy searches for for hocc, it's kinda like another metaphor saying that the guy wanted to know how hocc really felt. but he found out that she didn't love him any more (this also explains why at the end, hocc can't kiss the guy)

so putting these together: hocc liked this guy, and then they went on date for 3 years.

when hocc breaks up with him, the guy wants to"回到當時,猶如情侶熱戀的那時" (thus all those memories), but hocc's love for him has already been "長埋六呎荒土之下"...

it's all about the timing. if they both love each other at the same time, things would have been different.
