yea september is sickle cell awareness month but i never see anyhting about it on tv...but when breast cancer awareness month comes along that is all that you see posted on the tv! i'm not trying to be ignorant or anything but the only people that care about sickle cell disease is the people who have it or if you know someone with it! the rest of the world could care less about it and us! We'll keep fighting til there is a cure!
I don't know why but I thought that it predominately affects black people and rarely other races? I want to learn more about it.
