  • Somebody help me. I CAN'T stop listening to this song !!!!

  • No, we were born in the right generation.. People are all used to modern mainstream bands, when they hear a real guitarist whip something like this out and play it, they are even more impressed because they hardly hear such skill.

  • Rock on S.R.V Love this one ..R.I.P. Stevie ... great post thanks for sharing ..:)

  • stevie is the best, but just realized this song is similar to an old Earl Hooker jam Two Bugs and a Roach check it out

  • classic...my son loves this song

  • Jimi hendrix isn't the beet guitarist ever... sorry guys there are literally 1000000 players better than him. Just listen to jazz.

  • @jbianculli1 All down to opinions man. In my opinion no-one will ever surpass Hendrix in terms of feel and fluidity. Something about the way he combined lead and rhythm that I just find unbeatable. Like the playing on Little Wing and Castles made of Sand. His playing almost morphs in the songs and i think that's what makes Hendrix so unique. He never lost control and every note meant everything. No noodling or bum notes. Never played too fast, never too slow. I'm a jazz guitarist btw

  • @Django5198 actually I think that Stevie for example, was much more precise. I heard Jimi go a bit out of it on some live recordings. He just had better ideas when it comes to music. :)

  • @Django5198 you're absolutely right it is all about opinion, and all opinions are subjective, but to sit here and say someone is the very best at something (especially a musical instrument) is just completely ridiculous. If Jimi hendrix was the absolute best ever than nobody would be able to play any of his songs. Just because 9 out of 10 people try emulate someone doesn't make them the best ever, it just means those 9 people are ignorant.

  • @jbianculli1 most original?

  • SRV the magician...

  • I really never thought i would get so many comments on saying SRV is the best guitarist. i agree with everyone that jimi hendrix was extremely good, but overall i prefer listening to SRV.

  • @thecopster100 i prefer him, too. but i dont think hes better than hendrix, jimi was from another galaxy or something lol

  • Is he in standard tuning??

  • @slashnsatch Nope, Stevie was always in Eb.

  • @skippy3840 Thanks!

  • @skippy3840 Not always.. id say more like 60% of the time

  • @slashnsatch half step down

  • @slashnsatch Dropped to E flat I think.

  • @slashnsatch no he's a semi tone down like always :)

  • this song needs to be on a 30 min loop....

  • I was born in the wrong generation...

  • @Dimitrakis4774 dammit...makes the two of us...what the hell are we doing here???

  • @CCCCCCChristopher i dunno man..i wish i was born in 50s,so i could live a proper life..

  • @CCCCCCChristopher it doesnt matter what year it is ... i could say this makes 3 of us but it dosent matter .. just try and keep it real ... im young i play the guitar .. i try ... let the misery go away ...........

  • Sweet!!

  • listen to "come on (let the good times roll)" by jimi hendrix and you will understand where this song comes from... amazing anyway!!

It's the first time he hears a solo without thinking of the the next line...

  • This is the only guy on Earth that could make a nursery rhyme sound totally cool.

  • @coashddjj2 actually, this version of the song is from buddy guy:-)

  • @coashddjj2 Not true, Korn did a fantastic job of joining several nursery rhymes together in "Shoots and Ladders" not saying one is better than the other, I think they're both outstanding.

  • that one person who disliked this apparently thought that mary didnt have a little lamb

  • @istyhiongh3 Mary had a little ram and every mary went the ram was sure to follow:)

I thought this song was bad but now i love it!

  • you can feel this song when you listen to it awesome not alot of songs like that now

  • tasket...

  • not POSSIBLY the best guitarist ever, he IS the best guitarist ever!

  • @thecopster100 he is a copy of albert king and hendrix, hes awesome, but certainly not the best

  • @crazyskater4 yeah but he is like all the good guitarists mixed together!

  • @crazyskater4 his skills are up wit tha best of em u cant deny that!

  • @crazyskater4 to a lot of people he is the best. If he is a copy of anyone, it would be Albert King, but I would argue about that. Hendrix, not so much.

  • @thecopster100 First and foremost I must admit to being a troll. That being said, have you heard Gutghrie Govan?

  • @thecopster100

    Debatable

  • @thecopster100

    Haha, nah --

Jimi Hendrix rapes him in guitar skill. I should know, his songs are hard as balls sometimes, but Hendrix's songs have licks that are just a plain bitch.

Plus, Jimi like to be an ass and have finger-salad speed solos in every song. They take like 4-5 months to master each.

They're both great, but he is no Hendrix.

But in all honesty, as much as I don't like the genre of metal; Bucket Head is probably the most skillful player there is. I can't play his work : /

  • @Nemesis0300

So you rate guitar skill of the "greats" based on if you can play it or not? A little on the arrogant side don't you think?? Just because it takes you 5 months to learn a Hendrix solo doesn't mean he's flat out better than SRV, I'm sorry.

But in all seriousness, Hendrix and SRV are both incredible. And just because someone (not just Hendrix, I mean anyone) can play "finger-salad speed solos" in a song, doesn't mean it's good. You can have the technique but not have the soul. =P

  • @Allenlawnmower Well, I love both of their music. But Hendrix were always more complex. It depends on how you rate music.

I believe Stevie Ray's guitar style is like a good game of solitaire, while Hendrix's music was always like a complicated game of chess.

It's just that Jimi's music is so complex that it's hard to imagine that he just came up with it so fast.

  • @Nemesis0300 The most skillfull electric guitar player, this is probably Paul Gilbert, not Buckethead. Plus, if you need four months to master a solo from Hendrix, don't try to play something like the gargoyles, or technical difficulties from Gilbert =)

  • @Slash10500 Well, when I say master, I mean learn it; get used to it; add personal style, and have perfect style and timing.

Learning it and playing it only takes about 2 days at most. Usually about an hour, but a day or two to get it down good.

  • @Nemesis0300 As for Metal music, ever heard Dimebag Darrell playin' ? Try listening to some of Dimebag's riffs.

  • @thecopster100 jimi hendrix was good too

  • @thecopster100 Don't forget about Jimi though ;)

  • @thecopster100 : 2nd best. Even SRV always said that Jimi Hendrix was the best ever. SRV's whole sound comes from Jimi (combined w/Lightnin' Hopkins)! These 2 guys are untouchable, but the difference is that Jimi never heard Stevie play & Stevie grew up copying everything Jimi did. The originator always wins, sorry. But SRV is the greatest since Jimi Hendrix,no doubt.

  • @thecopster100 he was the best but not any more try billy joe green

  • Tisket!........

  • got this on my guitar lesson atm such a complex strumming.

  • Love that song!! :)

  • this is a pretty bad jam. a genious at work.

  • Thanks You! I am happy it has a new YouTube account of Stevie Ray Vaughan
