I have to say thie film kind of changed my perceptions about death when I was young and first watched it. Fosse was genius and having Vereen as a canvas you couldn't help but wind up with a masterpiece.

I adore this film - marvelous, gorgeous, melodious......with great acting, producing, editing, directing. Roy Scheider deserved the Oscar for this role - phenomenal acting. Other actors/actresses were brilliant too

1979 is one of my all time favorite years in film - All That Jazz, Alien, Rocky 2, Apocalypse Now, Moonraker, Mad Max, Kramer vs Kramer, The China Syndrome, The Brood, Tess, 1941 etc

I really loathe to give negative feedback but in the true vein of Fosse, cutting is so important and this edited version pays no justice. To edit what is a masterpiece is almost blasphemous. In my opinion this clip should be removed and replaced by the full version.

@hardballget I agree with you. In fact, i think you should upload the entire scene without cuts. Or maybe look for another who did it before. What, you didn´t find anyone? Then  try to do something about it instead writing words like "blasphemous". C´mon and move your ass, genius!

You missed the forest through the trees mate. To write such a comment would infer that I have indeed seen the scene in it's entirety and being a massive Fosse fan it is obvious I own the DVD. I do not wish for you to agree with me either, it is just my opinion on the posted cut vid neither right or wrong. You're opinion on my opinion is in fact wrong. I still stick fast that cutting this scene is indeed horrible in my eyes. Anyways thanks for the reply and the compliment. :) @u23421
