I have just been roped into making one of these for my friends kid and after building my first with orange light in the base with a fan, flour and tiny bits of paper to simulate an ash cloud I was told " they'll never believe an 11 year old made that" So! i'm back to making it the old fashioned and best way haha, thanks for the video it will really help :)

At scouts yesterday we got a mountain dew bottle, 285 ml of vinegar, a tub of baking soda and some dishwasher liquid and we were only meant to put a little bit of the vinegar and baking soda in but we didn't know and we put the entire thing in and closed the cap then someone had to pop the cap with there pen knife and everyone got covered in this White paste! I found the bottle later and it had split in half!

i do it the other way. if you dont whant it to explode on you then put the vinigar in first, then dish washing detergent, and finally food dye. then you put in the baking soda, and it wiil slowly rise up and out
