@AntoDamicoShow I hate that :-). I would have prefer nice sweet bells just like in many metros around the world, but at least we finally got some ringing system on these doors. When this "tested feature" will be available on all metro cars? I really don't know. Time takes time. ;-)
@sinning1966 Nope, the contract was just signed 2 weeks ago. Which means 2013 to 1014. And the STM might get sued for favoring Bombardier and Alstom, So it could be delayed again.
@AntoDamicoShow It's not anymore the biggest order ever Anto. The order used to count a total of 1053 cars. They've reduced it to around 450 cars last month since the price asked per unit was too high because of the "wheel" technology getting more expensive to produce, they had to cut the order in half in order to go from a 3 billion $ to 1,5 billion $ expense.
And I don't think it wasn't the STM's fault. They've run around losing time to most companies in order to get the best price ever.

would you tunnels fit a Toronto train?
also, Toronto has its own chimes used in GO as well. Maybe you guys should use the STM chime in AMT... just saying
GordonFreemanD40 2 months ago
@GordonFreemanD40 No, they're thinner, but cost half the price to make.
The AMT never uses STM stuff and vice versa, the 3 notes are kind of a trademark to the Metro would be weird having them on the AMT trains
AntoDamicoShow 2 months ago
@AntoDamicoShow oh yea forgot that TTC used a different gauge...

Also,in the Jeumont,I can barely hear the station info, the recording is not loud
fireblaze82 3 months ago
@fireblaze82 It depends of the train.
coolsebas14 1 month ago
Last time I went in a Jeumont, when we arrived at the station, they would open the train door when we were still stopping. That means at a little speed.
fireblaze82 3 months ago
@fireblaze82 It's normal, all MR-73 are programmed like that in automatic mode.

Is this permanent?
sega31098 3 months ago
@sega31098 It's the third prototype, so I think so. They say all MR73 should have this by sometime in 2012

@sinning1966 The STM says it will be another year and a few months until the whole network has it.

@AntoDamicoShow It's probably the time we will receive the new MR-08 metro cars anyways.

@AntoDamicoShow Yeah, we never know what tg expect from STM deals. They go one place to another, never satisfied.
sinning1966 1 year ago
@sinning1966 Well it's not the STM's fault.
The STM wants the most technologically advanced trains in the world.
And they wan't them now. But it's stupid companies that want a piece of the pie.
This will be the biggest order of trains in the world!
