stock yes the do bottom out easy, ive thrashed the shit out of mine since 07! last year i was t boned by a mexican chick with no insurance! i tore her bumber and radiater right off that honda, the frame on the ruckus was slightly twisted , but she still drive great at 41!

They look like they are better off road than they really are...the stock suspension bottoms out really easy

ive got an 07 ruckus and i beat the shit out of it, i havent wrecked the gas tank yet and it hit a lot of rocks and curbs.

I just got a used 07. Only concern I have about roughin' with it is the gas can is below the feet and there's only a piece of plastic to keep it from bottoming out or cracking into a rock. There must be a way to guard plate that better.
