  • its really weird seeing this video when every time i was deployed we didnt have time to play on bob on the fob guess its a lil bit different now

  • Shit We had Jeeps LOL

  • when i graduate high school, im thinking about trying for Scout calvary. Can anyone explain the process of getting signed up for it?

  • Benning 21st

  • im a fkn bitch but can someone answer my question, how did you manage to join up knowing that your family will be worrying about you all the time and do your family get use to it after a while? much respect.

  • @IIZODIIAC becaue we do it for our families. And yours, and all those that can't or won't join up. Respect also.

  • @3rdID8487 awesome, good work

  • @IIZODIIAC Thank you. But I just report the stuff, its the people in the filed that deserve the credit, not me.

  • @3rdID8487 well its important that we see what they are doing over there so credit to you sir

  • @3rdID8487

I'm a scout, and have never had a deployment that easy. But regardless, drop all the honor stuff and tell people like it is. You joined for the danger, the college money, and you had a lack of options.

  • @Jesssipher What's funny is I joined back in the early 80s, and actually did join for the honor of serving my country. I had a good job, and a nice place to live, but felt that I needed to serve my country before I got too old to do so. I was still the oldest guy in the basic training unit at 23.

  • @3rdID8487 I wasn't aware there was any major conflict going on in the early 80's, aka no NEED to serve your country.

  • @Jesssipher I was stationed 20 miles from the East/West German Border and in charge of over 400 nuclear weapons. Thats why there was no major conflict. Because we were there and doing what we did, prevented any conflict from starting..

  • @Jesssipher You're pathetic.

  • @IIZODIIAC my parents were angry as hell at first. i literally came back one day from MEPS and told them I enlisted. No one will love you as much as your parents, they will support you. no worries bro....

  • @SarayeOmid1 okay dude well i still got options

  • Benning 22nd 19D

  • This is a god damn squared away PFC. I'd love to have a kid like him in my platoon. If you ever make your way over to Ft benning hook it up kid.

  • WOW what a difference. You can tell that the atmosphere is a lot better. That tention in the air seems to be gone or less. Maybe they are seeing that Iraq is better this way.

  • I was in Rasheed and Aamel back in 07-08...lot more interesting back then.

  • so do cavalry scouts fight often?

  • @zachfresh Cavalry Scouts never die.

  • @Jcgies they just go up in heaven and regroup

  • @Jcgies cuz we always have te intel the C.O. want so we gotta live lol

  • @Jcgies fuck no, they go to fiddler's green and regroup.

  • @Jcgies they just go missing in action

  • @AmericanGMS No they in fact do not die often. They are the eyes and ears of the battle field by preforming intelligence gathering operations. This video was shot in Iraq; though it is still dangerous there, there is no real "fighting" happening there, or not often. Cavalry Scouts that are in other theaters such as Afghanistan see more regular fighting.
