  • 6:19 realistiv? wtf? the 3/12 house fall down .

in real the house will stand.

  • If this wasn't such a left-wing leaning film it would have been great.

  • Comment removed

  • these people are very good visual effects artist! but doesnt know anything about physics and structural engineering.buildings wont collapse that way during earthquakes.

  • Challenge: how many times does the man say Uh.

  • battlefield 2012

  • we have now 2012 soon we dies EKKKKK

  • It's stupid how people are saying that the CGI thing should just die. CGI is what makes movies. Seriously, Do you want an actual city or building to collapse? CGI stays, bitches.

  • there is sonny in the background!!

  • making what the Program ? E-mail noctiszero@live.com

  • these videos suck, they dont go in-depth enough. they just show the animations. i want to see them putting everything together, building the models, show the software!

  • 2:31 CITYWIDE! 2012 FAKE AND GAY!!!!

  • render time? :P

  • Since stone Age )

  • @TheParkourDrummer not interested in getting in a fight on here, but if you're even close to as smart as you claim you'd notice that I'm not old enough to have taken anything other than Algebra 1 (which I'm taking). I make about $30,000 a year (not bad for my age) doing VFX on independent films. My family's worth well over 3,000,000 so I'm in no respect poor. I responded because i was tired of hopeless idiots demanding tutorials on things like this.

    Sorry, didn't catch your sarcasm.

  • Render time?

  • @MultiJacob123 It will take a 1000 years in a i7-cored computer :(

  • @MultiJacob123 5 years

  • @MultiJacob123 there render was problably fast beacause they might had have a 16 gig ram or 18 core machine

  • I need 1000 more pc's like my own in order to render this kind of shit ! lol

  • "The guy's an actor he's reading a script!"

  • See kids? 2012 is not real B)

  • this movie was shit. too much CG.

  • rendertime?

  • คุณใช้โปรแกรมอะไรคับ

  • MAn... I was hoping to see Michael clive!

  • I wasn't really a fan of this movie. it was too predictable. but the effects were great :)

  • wow..!!! the program aplication please..???

  • @The62studio Houdini is one among others used.

  • @The62studio

    windows movie maker and paint

  • If you look at the top Left Corner @ 1:08 you will see a TRANSFORMER!

  • @silvestry1000 Yes Digital Domain also made the digital effects for all 3 transformers movies.

  • @death18012 Most of the VFX shots of Transformers were done by ILM:

    Transformers 1: ILM: 430, Digital Domain: 90

    Transformers 2: ILM: 555, Digital Domain: 130

    Transformers 3: ILM: 575, Digital Domain: 350

  • @filmkorn I didn't say ALL of the effects, but for example I know they did Laserbreak in the latest one. My point was that they contributed which makes them completely qualified to add it to their reel. Hence why there is one in the background.

  • @death18012 Ok, i misunderstood. I thought you were saying that they did all effects. Digital Domains work on Tron Legacy and Benjamin Button was pretty remarkable too.

  • @death18012 exception for part one: Fx was made by "Industrial light and magic"

  • i didnt know they used CGI in this film :/

  • Also they use special plugin like Ray-fire and Cebas VolumeBreaker

  • what software would these guys use?

  • @timopdrumz somthing very advanced and expensive xD

  • @one01x jeah, i think so

  • what software you use?

  • They use Houdini and Maya

  • what kind of 3D Program do u Guys think they might be using ??

  • 2:32 "Solving the problem of city wide destruction" What they actually did was causing the problem of city wide destruciton. :D

  • DD vs ILM

    who win?

  • @diablo123123 weta

  • @ProductofNZ you got the point :)

  • I'd love to give some visionary filmmmakers from the early 20th century a trip to now and see them gawk at this amazingness. They just wouldn't believe it.

  • I didn't listen to him at all.

I just looked at those beutiful scenes

  • Wich pc's does you guys use? Oo

  • @jonny123hannes The most powerful computer probably

  • Amazing CGI work!! Bad movie :-(

  • how much time it took to render the film for them? :D

  • @TheFreakEssence Probably months. The whole movie is based on CGI. The acting was awful.

  • @TheFreakEssence 1 min minimum. because they use super fast computer technologies for movie

  • @TheFreakEssence render times wouldve pushed 15-20 hours per frame. Sim times even longer.

  • Wow tutorial pleeease.....

  • @TheParkourDrummer destruction is done With Rayfire by Mirvadim it's a plugin for 3dsmax working with the physx engine

  • @migz250988

precutting was made with Rayfire tool. Physics is made with Thinking Particles. Renderer Engine was Final Render without Global Illumination but a new skylight model. You can do this at home with some youtube tutorials (and a very lot of time).

  • @TheParkourDrummer week old tutorial :P?

  • @TheParkourDrummer u want month long tutorial :D?

  • @TheParkourDrummer K give me 1000000000 dollars and ill give u the tut

  • @crisjony96 lol just give me that much money in EUROS and il buy me a computer and i will experiment with it XD haha XD

  • @TheParkourDrummer They're rich and you arent....that's because they can figure this stuff out WITHOUT a tutorial.

  • @BMAnnArbor They also have Asians

  • @SkullTwisterX lmao that made my day :)

  • @BMAnnArbor No racism intended, I spent a few minuets listening too a my Asian friend talk about dynamics and I've learned soooo many tips that I use now lol

  • @SkullTwisterX lol nice.

  • @SkullTwisterX I've been working on repackaging Bullet for blender and also improving the current fracture and demolition systems. I've been working on the SPH system a lot lately, and the dynamics of a good fluid simulator are really complex.

  • @BMAnnArbor repackaging Bullet dang... Must be a pain. What pys engine does Blender use? I've only really done dynamics in Maya soo. I know 3ds Max uses Havoc but idk what Maya uses

  • @SkullTwisterX Blender uses Bullet but it doesn't use the full capabilities.

  • @BMAnnArbor That makes sense. I'm not putting Blender's pys. engine down at all but it's not as awesome as it could be

  • @SkullTwisterX So true. I'd like the ability to basically bake the rigid body physics instead of having to try and play them in real time. Breakable compound shapes would be really awesome. I've seen some people developing it and there's this one guy who made a demolition script that's better than anything I've ever seen. But Blender doesn't come anywhere close to using Bullet's full potential.

  • @BMAnnArbor Blender acctually has a build-in plugin now tho shatter objects, and a demolition softbody is on the way.

  • @casvlaco The demolition softbody is useless without a super computer. You'll notice that on the demonstration video of a WTC case study, the bake time was 10 minutes per frame. You can't do that much baking and still meet a deadline if you're destroying an entire city, and because blender doesn't allow node computers you can't distribute the simulating the way you can with realflow.

  • @BMAnnArbor Also, I'm familiar with the rigid body fracture system and it's useless for this sort of thing. I've managed to create one semi-realistic demolition with it but it took longer to setupand simulate than it did in BlastCode. In the other main demolisher Rayfire, you can simulate the breaking with breakable bonds and it designs the fracture based on the settings and location of your objects so that small pieces break at the impact point and bigger pieces are create farther out.

  • @BMAnnArbor Your comment makes me laugh. First of all, my comment was a joke which is why it has over 100 votes. Secondly, you don't have any idea how smart or wealthy I am. I guarantee you that from looking at you and your channel, that I'm about double your intelligence. I doubt you took any classes above Algebra in middle school. I was taking chemistry and mechanical engineering at Sac State and graduated with almost a perfect grade in both classes. Think about what you say before saying it.

  • @TheParkourDrummer

    Tutorial :D:D:D:D:D:

  • "Pickle" "No" LOL

  • a++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

  • i cannot imagine the cpu power and amount of ram behind this work...

  • @petrosMgr yeah, absolutely

  • sorry, what name soundtrack in time 00.00 - 00.23 ? thank

  • @yulbasboy would love to know as well

  • it looks so real!

  • @21valeska it's 2010 man! "when" are you?

  • a++++++++++++

  • Amazing CGI company, they did a great job on The Day After Tomorrow too.
