  • I get to do a project on these guys! You don't understand how happy I am about this because even though I'm only 25% Japanese(50% African & 25% Hispanic), I honor my Japanese side of the family the most. These guys are my new inspiration to fight for my country. Go for Broke 442nd! ^_^

  • boring in carlson

  • This makes me Proud that I have an Excuse to tell my white friends that that Japanese people weren't always our Enemy

  • JEN714-Anyone who would speak against the Japanese, are DUMB.If one is aware of their Rich History,Centuries old,and their "Code of Honor".First in Honors in WWII,the First in the Post war Market Place.USE that anger you have and"LOOK" at who started the war,and why?Rothschild Group? The Wealthy financed Hitler,"They"wanted war,to make money. The Japanese are the most Honorable and Bravest Race, but they were "USED" by the Wealthy. There's the race YOU SHOULD be after"The Wealthiest".

  • This video doesn't serve as an inspiration for just Japanese-Americans, but all Asian-Americans who wish to serve for our country.

    The 442nd was fucking badass.

  • Finally a WW2 related video where there are no comments screaming for dead "Japs"

  • so basically the 442nd are like american special forces of WW2 made up of japanese like the gurkha.no wonder they have both the courage of japanese and the equipment and tactics of america.

  • @keiweak What made the men of 442nd special, was their Bravery, Sacrifice and to prove to those that Downed on them, because they werent White (Racism was well known during WWII) that the Nisei are Americans and they proved that they are Americans with their blood.

  • I don't hardly know any race that is put in internment camps by their own country and still volunteers to fight for it! Most every othe race would of rioted and refused to fight, the Japanese Americans took the humiliation and when it was time to prove their worth they did and then some! No one screws with Japanese Americans anymore to this day! They proved their worth as Americans!

  • @JENDALL714 * For YOU to judge, and say that"Most every other race would riot, and refuse to fight." Is both ridiculous and stupid."I don't hardly know" is the smartest thing that you said.Because,YOU can't and don't know,DO YOU.? Many Germans also were detained, then went to war.And were also used as spies, and fought with bravery. And so did Italians,NO ONE refused. Except in YOUR head.

  • @billy1212ist no other race in the USA at that time were recruited from prison camps to fight that's a fact! Your jealousy is obvious, the Japanese Americans proved their loyalty as good Americans and became the most decorated battalion of WW2. I doubt your race would have fought out of prison camps, and I already know what your race is by your ignorance and hatred!

  • @JENDALL714 *You are into this "RACE" thing,NOT ME.I live in Hawaii for 28 years.I have Dear friends who were in the 442nd,DO YOU ?Of COURSE the Japanese Proved Themselves and are a wonderful People.YOU SEE the JealousyYOU Judge.Again"YOU DOUBT"but DO NOT KNOW.I hate NO ONE.I was merely showing you that "Other Races" are also capable of such feats. Why would I,be "Jealous" of anybody?I am not.YOU bring up the term quite often, insecurity is the basis for jealousy.GO LOOK IN THE MIRROR.You're dumb.

  • thumbs up if you want HBO or maybe Clint Eastwood to make a movie/miniseries about the 442nd so their legacy wont be forgotten.

  • @magicstorm1 If you want a movie about the 442nd Google: Only the brave (2006).

  • @MrNadaname i have seen it but it doesn't look good, i mean it don't do justice for the great story. It is nice for a drama but i am more looking for combat scenes like the movie Saving Private Ryan/Band of brothers.

  • @magicstorm1 I've seen it as well and I agree with you, nice drama, but does too little to illustrate the brutality of war.

  • My grandpa was a corporal in the 442nd. He passed away in 2004. Just a few months ago I met some old men who were in that Texan battalion. I saw their veterans caps and asked about their service and said my grandfather also served in Europe. Immediately seeing that I am Asian, they realized my grandpa must have been in the 442. These old men had tears trickling down their faces as they shook my hand vigorously and were very grateful. I only wish I could have told my grandpa about these men!

  • @languageprac That's a great moment and I am happy you could experience it. That was a heck of a campaign by truly honorable Americans. Thank you and your family.

  • I am very grateful for those who served, and gave their all in the 442, and 100 Battalions. As T. Roosevelt once said " Americanism was in your mind, and heart, never was about race, or ancestry". You father's, and son's who fought in battle are our American Heroes! Damn Proud.

  • Japanese Americans stand up against the racial barrios by serving their country. NO matter what race, you should always respected anyone for serving their country. They done a lot of help to free tyranny for the free world.

  • Damn. IM PROUD TO See that these Japanese men have dedicated their life to fight for FReak Racist American PIGS during those time. GOD BLESS THEM ALL.

  • @KillerXify You know it bro! White America interned the American Japanese people and made them go fight the toughest battles because they were too afraid to do it.

  • @BlackBearsLove * You embarrass your brothers, with YOUR anger, stupidity, and racism. A WHITE AMERICAN,7th of 12 children, both parents dead,at 17 years old,5'5'',and 110 pounds, from Texas.Audie L.Murphy, joined the Army.He went on to be the Most Highly Decorated Soldier of WWII,with The Medal of Honor, and many many other awards from two other Countries.A white guy. There were also many like him, brave and honorable men. They were NOT like YOU.

  • It really frustrates me that he left his hospital and his relief to fight on the front lines again just before his death on October 29, 1944. (1 day before they reached the Lost Battalion.) It goes to show how dedication, honor, and a need to serve to prove your loyalty can get you killed, my family still can't understand why he went back.

  • @drago7679 Very cool, I had several relatives in the army, but I never really got to know what exactly they did except for my Great Uncle (who also died along with 3 others on my father's side.). He was a staff sergeant/ platoon leader of 1st squad F company in the 2nd battalion so maybe your father did meet him. I believe he did a flanking maneuver with "K company?" and he was gunned down with his platoon by a MG42 emplacement I think.

  • @hisaskim Japanese Americans are awesome. Any family member of a 442 is so fortunate to have a living legend in the family. 442 is freaking amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank your uncle for helping pass the bill. Well-deserved, difficult to pass.

  • And I've heard that they owned a farm there although I'm not sure about now. I think that they must have had a very hard time before, during and after the world war II, too. One day I would like to meet them.

  • I have my far relatives in CA who immigrated to the U.S. before WWII.

  • Once decided to devote to something, those who cherish the ethics of the Japanese ancestors are the most powerful and dedicated group of all. Their attitude toward life reminds me of my grandfathers and -mothers. Thank you for that. Much love from Japan.xxx

  • @momox4isfunny

Well said, my relatives are Japanese-Americans - amazing people. Dedicate, loyal, kind, intelligent, sensitive, and freaking awesome.

  • May the memory of the Greatest group of Patriots who lived, fought, and tragically died never be forgotten. They had everything stolen from them and they still none the less proved themselves above and beyond most. After the war very few had any of their stolen belonging's returned to them. But, they didn't allow racist sentiment stop them from not merely rebuuilding their lives. They quickly rose to become one of the most financially successful group of any background in California history!

  • whats so sad is that they were racially biased against even as veterans, after the war....

  • My great grandfather served in this regiment. They definatly proved thier loyalty

  • Fuck! 800 men killed to save 200. Saving fellow soldiers is ok, but it seems the bigshots up there didn't give a damn how many could die in the process.

  • i know this is a serious thing but i loled pretty hard at :32

  • I am more than proud to say that my two great uncles were in the 442 and to see them self'ves as amaricans and fight

  • Comment removed

  • nice document!

  • The 442nd save more than 200 men of the 36th Texas Battalion. The 442nd lost more than 800 men to save them.

The General orders a Regimental Review of the 442nd. When the Regiment passes the General turns to the 442nd comander and says: I ordered the entire Regiment to pass and review. The Colonel replied with tears running down his cheeks: Sir! this is all that is left of the 442nd.

  • what are you talking about?

  • Regimen? nate its Regiment!
