  • Easy guide thanks Ranjit

  • Hello Ranjit, I have done everything as you have explained, I can see the repeater but am not able to access the internet, when my internet service provider helped me to configure my original router they used a mac address instead of an IP, does this make sense? any help you can give would be great. thx

  • Finally, I have total coverage. Thanks!

  • @zondy2009: Cool....... I am also using this setup to extend WiFi coverage for my entire house.

  • This is the simplest tutorial ever! Congratz.

  • Great video. I'd love to try this, but I don't really have a reason to. And people out here think that the WRT54 routers are worth about 25$ more than they really are.

  • Thank you Ranjit, You are a great help, I spent hours reading and trying to set up my repeater. Your video made it easy. Keep up the good work.

  • @thermonicman: Cool :)

  • @geekyranjit ranjit this is the best video to configure repeater, it work perfect for 2 weeks now i get WAN IP 0.0.0.0???? i restarted the router and hard reset upgraded ddwrt and nothing; i hope you can help me thanks!!!!

  • Thank you! thank you so much, I have had numerous issues while trying to change the configuration of my router, your tutorial was the most strait forward, thanks again :)

  • @0AirRoll0: You are welcome :)

  • Mine works wired but it won't work wireless! Do you think its because the main router is a dual band 2.4/5ghz? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

  • Hello, currently I have a Netgear N300 wireless-N router (DHCP disabled) wired connected to my primary router wireless G. I have an extra d-link dir615 not being used. Will this configuration apply if I want my d-link router connect to my Netgear router wirelessly ? You can PM me if there will be extra steps. Thanks

  • @pinoyeh: All I can say it give it a try it should work, just check if your routers are dd-wrt compatible it should work, I tired with a couple of router that I had access to and it worked but again I could not test with every router.

  • Awesome tutorial. As Shohdyh said, very straight-forward. Thanks.

  • Great video, one of the best and very strait forward. keep up the good work.

  • @shohdyh: Thanks

  • thump up for it never thought of it.. coz ground floor has week signal i do it too... one question i have i got 2 connection... airtel and beam and i always have to go back unplug is there any other way with just one click i can change from one get to another one without unplug and plugin always

  • @tomyloveu: If you have two different connections then the best thing is to use two different router...... I have a setup like that...... there is a solution with a device I do not remember the name had purchased about 4 years ago for the office that has 2 WAN ports and it does auto-switching basically we used it for redundancy if one net connection went down it would switch automatically to the other...... but it was expensive about Rs 12K at that time.

  • @geekyranjit oh thats expensive thx for the info... maybe i have wifi for beam as well that's the best option or to have one more land card but keep it disable if i wanna use make other one disable and enable 2nd one.. thats other cheap option .. and i dont have to get up or go back to pc for keep on changing connection or as u said wifi

  • @tomyloveu: Yeah you can also opt for 2 LAN cards if you would like if mobility is not required.... or just keep one connection on Wifi and the other wired you can disable the wired one when you want to use the other network that is on WiFi.
