Swinging down creates backspin, ah? I challenge all of you downward swing plane gurus to read The Science of Hitting by Ted Williams and then go watch some baseball on a DVR equiped cable or satellite box that allows you to slow down and rewind the action. Do that and then come back and tell me that these guys swing down at the ball. It's a garbage theory and 95% of MLB players DO NOT SWING THIS WAY.

Driving down, you can only meet the ball at one point. You have to establish a path to the ball and swing down, I've heard isn't the way to do it.

I think the guy is right, look at any swing, they have a downward path to the ball. Once you get down to the ball, the hands will drive up to follow through and hit line drives.

When you swing down and finish high you get backspin on the ball which results in long line drives
