I have an 1988 Olds Custom Cruiser gun metal grey with the woody tape lite blue cloth inside, thinking about selling it( sdc7566@lausd.net) current registration
Nice car Mike! Does it have "throttle-body" injection? If so, that's why you didn't have to pump that big gas pedal to start it! I just don't like the fact that the rear-side windows don't foll down all the way. The controls on the rear-view mirror might be an auto-dimmer(reflective) for it, or an outside temperature gauge and maybe a compass. I have many old car catalogs from the '50's on! Don't forget to be prepared for the high gas cost for the car if you do buy it. (:
@MikeGuy993 I've actually had two of these and loved them but when my '91 Cruiser was totaled I couldn't find another. Even the rusty ones are getting hard to come by in my area. I've only seen one this nice in a long time and the guy wasn't interested in selling it and I couldn't find any Delta 88s either. If you're going to get rear ended this is a great car for it. I drove away and the other car got towed on a flatbed.
@PianoShapedObject Yeah they are very strong cars. And believe it or not I was driving it the other week and saw another one exactly like it. It is a shame that a lot of these cars have been mistreated and taken to derbies. Thanks for the comment and subscribe if you like, I am going to start making more videos of it soon!
@MikeGuy993 At least one of my past Cruisers ended up as a derby car. It doesn't bother me, I knew the car was done for so if it was going to end up cubed anyway better to be stripped for parts and go out with a bunch of huge bangs than just whimper while being squashed. One last blaze of glory. Wagons that are still good are different because then its just a waste and lack of appreciation.
I love Olds'mobile and the Custom Cruiser is my favorite! I'm Brazilian, unluckily here never see this car! I hope that in my traveling for USA in 2012, I can see this classic. I agree with you " is America's original family car" Misses the 80's and 90's....
Do you have Facebook? Add me (Lucio Cozin) or Luthi!
Ah yes a 307 Custom Cruiser. I've got a 1988 with less than 50,000 miles. I wish it had cornering lamps and the fender lamp monitors and both power seats. Nice to see there are others out there like this model. All it needs now is a 350 or 403 engine for up hill get and go...
Have a look at mine... I might just sell it for the right money as it's stored in California and I'm in London. Look forward to your comments too. Cheers
@fennjones1 You have a very nice wagon, it is in really great shape. I wish this one didn't have as many miles as it did but it is still a very strong running car. It also has the towing package so it can tow 5,000 pounds and it will never over heat. The man I got it from used to tow his race car, which is how it got most of its miles. I really love cars like this that some people just tend to forget about. Thanks for your comment and I too am glad to see another station wagon like this one!
Nice car, seems very well equipped. I've got the same kit on my 89 Electra Wagon. Awesome cruising car! Nice video too!

How sad is it that I drive a Lincoln and I'm drooling over a station wagon?

Is that a factory radio? Looks new but I'm more a 1950's - 1970's car guy...
