I remember listening to a clip of Shelley's many years ago about a black dot in a glass of milk....it was a hoot..does anyone have a copy of it?.....thanks
Many, many years ago -- almost 50 -- I got a negative (false) impression of Shelley Berman from a TV documentary that was done of him. It showed him doing his act in a club and a phone started ringing backstage, and no one answered it. When he went offstage, he threw a really hysterical fit about it. I've never seen anything like it. But the whole thing might have been done for dramatic effect, since he knew a camera was following him around.
@spelvin214 To be even more precise, they married on April 19, 1947. This means they just celebrated their 64th anniversary April 19, 2011. To help put it into a better time context, they married only ten weeks before the Roswell UFO crash!

Certain Comedians appeared semi-regularly on WML for short periods -- Ernie Kovacs 1957, Stubby Kaye 1957, Jim Backus 1957, Tom Poston 1958, Joey Bishop 1960, Shelley Berman 1961, Buddy Hackett 1962-64, Alan King 1962-64, Peter Cook 1963, then launched on to bigger sometimes better things. Bright Witty Berman performed in a number of funny WML episodes and was involved in the memorable 1961 appearances of Julie Newman and Lucille Ball.
The Roswell balloon crash, unless UFOs are made out of tin foil and popsicle sticks.

@coolkid1234533 ... Wiki says they were married in 1947, so that would be 63 years. Whatever, it's incredible for show business!
