Beneficial to all businesses? Please, local and state bans have repeatedly harmed smoker-friendly businesses wherever they're enacted, and they more often affect businesses in subtle ways that anti-smoking zealots don't see, such as decreased tips, hours given to employees, and even business hours of operation are often shortened. In several communities I spend time in that enacted a ban before Illinois, several 24 hour diners stopped operating 24/7 due to the major loss in customers.
I don't smoke. Outlaw tabacco, not a property owners right to allow a legal product on/in their property. Wisconsin has a very large German population. I'm glad to see we're gettin back to our roots.. Sieg Heil!
I now want to see legislation denying to pay benefits for any government employee that smokes ... come on ... lets not talk out of both sides of our mouths.
