Hi I've always believed until now that Hitler Was atheist but this does appear to show otherwise and I find it interesting. I feel that knowing the truth whatever it is is important but it does not make all atheists good people just because Hitler wasn't one or believers in God all evil because Hitler was one. So if you got the quote yourself you only had to read at most 7 pages from and unverifiable and historically questionable book.

I think the problem with people is that they think the word "Christian" is a title or something you can be overnight.
A Christian is a way of life. A way in which you live you daily life according to the scriptures and what Jesus taught.

I imagine if you wanted to find justification for something you could find it in any aspect of human kind. Hitler was also into the occult and many other things to bring around his ideas. I do believe that Darwinism was an aspect of his doctrine. But by no means would I ever place him in the category of Christian like many others who act the same way.
I don't hate Hitler. I truly believe that the same propensity in him is in all of us. I would be ignorant as a christian not to acknowledge that.
Hitler used Christian language because he was raised a Christian and many of his countrymen were Christians. He used the language they expected and would understand. Similarly, Sadam Husein used Muslim language to appeal to his people. I don't believe he was a particularly devout man. (His gov't was secular and modeled after Stalin's.)
@Frab2001 Hitler's persecution of Christians only amounted to 1% of Germany's Christian population, not to mention outlawing atheist societies and giving their properties to the church. Moreover you can't just say "no he wasn't" and expect to contradict all the evidence that he was. To borrow your own phrase "grow up".

I see no reason to assume that Hitler was not a Christian. Think of the Christian warlords. Joshua supposedly killed every man, woman & child in 20 cities and he is seen as a hero. Vlad the Impaler is seen as a defender of Christianity from the threat of the Muslim Turks. Slavers who stole the people of Africa and sold them as objects were accepted by the church.
Just because Hitler had people brutalised and slaughtered doesn't exclude him from such company. Being a maniac doesn't rule it out.

It is NOTORIOUS for being Christian propaganda, written purely to give asshats like you a reason to believe Hitler was not a Christian. Hitler lied a lot in Mein Kampf, so I wouldn't use that as proof either.
To say Hitler was a Christian is to ignore everything he did to remove Christianity from Germany, such as taking the Bible out of the classrooms. Plus, many of his closest associates, such as Speer and Heiden are quoted as talking about Hitler's hatred for Christianity.

Hi I've always believed until now that Hitler Was atheist but this does appear to show otherwise and I find it interesting. I feel that knowing the truth whatever it is is important but it does not make all atheists good people just because Hitler wasn't one or believers in God all evil because Hitler was one. I am an atheist and my issue with religion is that they do not use reason, but I do believe that Religious people can be as moral as any atheist.

So if you got the quote yourself you only had to read at most 7 pages from and unverifiable and historically questionable book.

They were ADDED by François Genoud, the translator of the French version, from which the English translations come. Also, the things quoted in that book are at odds with things Hitler said for which there IS reliable evidence.

I will not defend Stalin. I would spit on Stalin. Unlike you, I have no loyalty to someone simply because they may believe as I do on any particular matter. As for every citizen of the USSR being an atheist, I think you're kidding yourself. They could not PUBLICLY declare any belief, but that would have no effect on their inner beliefs. You can't MAKE someone an atheist by telling them theism is a crime.

In 1936, the Reich Church was created. This did not have the Christian cross as its symbol but the swastika. The Bible was replaced by "Mein Kampf" which was placed on the altar. By it was a sword. Only invited Nazis were allowed to give sermons in a Reich Church

I don't particularly care to label him as an atheist, but in his private speeches he has a contempt for Christianity.
What I seek to prove is that what a politician says to a Christian nation and what a politician actually believes are not always identical.
I don't care what his belief system is, but stop trying to portray him as a Christian. If you do try and portray his view of religion, at least show both sides of the coin, both private and public life.

People will walk away from this video thinking Hitler was a Christian, and i personally find that a bit misleading.

Not if you had reliable evidence of the conversations concerned. But you don't. In fact, unless the original source of those table talk quotes had the memory of a savant, you can be pretty sure they are largely made up.
Maybe Hitler WAS an atheist, but he was one man. He couldn't kill millions on his own. It took a largely Christian nation to do that. Forgive me, but you have MANY more lying Christians to address before you get down to the flaws I have. Get to it.

Maybe Hitler was an atheist, maybe he wasn't. Whether he believed in God or not doesn't say anything about the character of people who believe or disbelieve in God.
You cannot trust Hitler, of all people, to speak honestly and not take the opportunity to claim Christianity merely in order to gain popularity. Because Hitler says it doesn't make it true.
His actions completely oppose everything Christians stand for. He wasn't a Christian.
Was he an atheist? I don't know. What would that prove?

Clearly the maker of this video didn't check the German Reich Church regulations issued by Hitler, also, he must not have found out all the lies Hitler told about military intentions. I just watched the video, which BEGINS by saying Hitler may have been an atheist!
And it IS based on the "table talk" book (surprise surprise), giving "quotes" stating time of day and place, and giving EXTREME detail of what Hitler supposedly said (what an EXCELLENT memory that witness must have had! TRULY amazing!).
So I watched YOUR suggested video and found it based on heresy, while mine contains bonafide quotes. And you criticise me for my accuracy?

2. I find that you using only public statements of a politician combined with the lack of even addressing the opposing evidence as a bit dishonest.

Indentured servitude is different from Chattel slavery. Slavery as we know it is wrong, if Biblical slaver was like that I would not support it.
1. You cannot beat your slaves. Its both illegal and clearly immoral from biblical texts.
2. If you feel you are mistreated you can run away and you are pardoned (deut 23:15-16)
contractual labor, debt for work.

There is some tiny little flaw at the end: "Gott mit uns" does not mean "God is with us". It means "May God be with us" which might be even more in support of your argument.

Anyone can search for his speeches. There are MANY more examples than I used. You can't re-write his speeches, or Mein Kampf. All I'm saying is he spoke like a Christian, and he did, and asking why he did. My suggestion is that religious identification is a good way to get people to support you without question.

I think the problem with people is that they think the word "Christian" is a title or something you can be overnight.
A Christian is a way of life. A way in which you live you daily life according to the scriptures and what Jesus taught.
A person can call himself a Christian all he wants..he can get baptized etc.....but unless he lives his life according to Jesus...he is not really a Christian.
There are very few Christians in this world today. And Hitler was not one of them. Read the Bible.

I imagine if you wanted to find justification for something you could find it in any aspect of human kind. Hitler was also into the occult and many other things to bring around his ideas. I do believe that Darwinism was an aspect of his doctrine. But by no means would I ever place him in the category of Christian like many others who act the same way.
I don't hate Hitler. I truly believe that the same propensity in him is in all of us. I would be ignorant as a christian not to acknowledge that.

Hitler used Christian language because he was raised a Christian and many of his countrymen were Christians. He used the language they expected and would understand. Similarly, Sadam Husein used Muslim language to appeal to his people. I don't believe he was a particularly devout man. (His gov't was secular and modeled after Stalin's.)
