Oh, the Wichita Wingnuts. We had that siren go off one night for a tornado warning while I was working in the concessions for Papa John's. It was an interesting and fun summer. I met so many people, especially the Nut House. There was also the lady who was freaking out over the hot dogs being red (they're real hot dogs...I've had them before and they're sold at Sam's Club). Too bad I won't be there this year. I'm taking summer classes... :(

Noon on Mondays during the Tornadic season, the sirens are tested for ~ 2 minutes so long as the weather is fair (non-tornado condistions). Typically 95% of them work, so they fix the necessary ones. You dushes that aren't in tornado country wouldn't have a clue how valueable this is... One of the horns is located at the stadium, where the NBC World Series is played. It's unbearably loud, by necessity.
