Ever hear of a Giga Coaster? If not you should look one up. Goliath is only a Hyper Coaster. Giga = over 300 ft, Hyper is only over 200ft. Although this ride has a huge drop it's no where near the tallest drop.

It doesn't use a jet engine, it uses nitrogen pressurized by hydraulic fluid to turn a large drum. There is a cable that wraps around the drum when it is turned. The cable is attached to the train. When the pressure is released, the drum turns, the cable is pulled, and the train accelerates to 120+ miles per hour.

Superman sucks. Goliath owns. Actually riding these coasters will tell you that. Superman is twice as tall as Goliath so why is it rated Moderate and Goliath rated Maximum? The Six Flags staff wouldve changed that if it was a typo.

Hands down, this is twice as intense as X2 (if you know where teh flips are) and four times as intense as Superman.

@qwasd9999 The Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is 200 ft 90 degree drop. And this is nearly vertical. The Griffon has three rows of ten and hangs you at the top for a few second before dropping you. It also splashes up water at the end. :)

Honestly, the best Goliath is at SF Over Georgia. And Top Thrill is better for two reasons. One, it doesn't break down no where near as much as Kingda Ka. And two, I'm an NHRA fan. :)
