    lol

  • @pondguru Hard to tell who the biggest kid is in this video. =] Looks like fun!

  • that is awesome i cant believe u made that

  • that is one bad ass igloo youve got there my friend ...from a real Canadian! : )

  • Thanks for appreciating.

  • wise men say that the leading cause of homeless-ness is leaving your own place without securing your means of getting back inside.

  • i built one just like that and slept in it for 50 dollars an when i woke up it shrank half the size

  • Jakie nie dojeby :/

  • You live in russia? i was there once and it snowed like CRAZY!

  • tries to make:looks at big pile of snow wher it has colapsed

  • Isn't it sledding?

  • very cool.

  • I LIKE THE PART WHERE YOU SHOWS US TO BUILD THIS. THIS IS MY KID AND THIS IS MY IGLOOO PRETTYY SWEET.

  • THAT IS SO KEWL!! :3

  • Comment removed

  • just me getting kind of claustrophobic? lol

  • Great job!!! Looks like fun!!

  • Cool but at the end the girl says stupid boy hahahah

  • cool now only if i had the snow to build one hahah

  • Same problem here - we've had none this year.

  • @pondguru in romania well...40 cm of snow

  • @pondguru You've got it now!

  • @pondguru Oit weve got snow now lol

  • @pondguru in what country do you live??

  • United Arab Emirates.

    (England)

  • @pondguru i live in croatia and we had none till 2 weeks ago. i though you were from there cause till 2weeks we had no snow. but now it's soo cold even my dog wont go out.

  • @TF2CroSpyPlayer I always thoughts igloos were a myth

  • @711dylan12345 YES SNOW..... TODAY....... IN LONDON!

  • Good job but from what I have seen igloos are supposed to let in light, I have been planning to make one though! We just had a snowstorm today so wel see how it turns out.

  • 1:27 Time of the month?

  • Thanks I am going to try it today!!!! I will let you know how it came out!!!!!

  • i say good job but if you trying to make one the true way that first nations made them then you failed terribly but whatever it was good i guess

  • Coming from a guy with one totally unrelated video on his channel that means alot, thanks man. I thought you might have extensive videos about inuit culture and the proper way to build an igloo, but no.

  • @pondguru You should look up on snow festivals in Puvirnituq, Qc on youtube they can build igloos very fast and the do it pretty well.

The snow festivals were on 2001,2003,2005,2007,2009,2011, and the next one in 2013. Basically its every two years.

  • I certainly wouldn't win any speed contests for this one as it was built in the dark when it was snowing. I went out in the morning expecting to see a shambles but it turned out cool.

    Snow festivals are awesome.

  • that is cool

  • not much chance of a igloo this winter is seems :(

  • That's a qhuinzee actually I did not expect you to know that I'm a 1/4 Inuit my dad is 2/4 Inuit so he teaches me about my heritage

  • Very good, thanks for that. I've no chance of remembering the correct name so I'm glad its written down.

  • You didn't pack the snow tight enough so it was dirty

  • The muck was from bits of soil from the ground snow when I smoothed out the inside and packed the gaps. I built the igloo in the dark so couldn't see what was going on. The snow was packed way tight, man.

  • Well done sir! You managed it though there was hardly enough snow. Congrates. Shame when things start to thaw though?

I mentioned on another igloo made from compacted snow that an alternative would be to scrape a level area and put a family size or a 2-4 man tent, and make roof for any number of one or two man tents and just bury them all, have one of those tunnels they train dogs with as an entrance. The advantage of the tents, you just wait for more snow and start to finish until buried.

  • check out my channel and i will have an igloo video by march

  • @snapshot513 yo it will prob be like 70 in march wit the weather were having

    -ohhhh

  • Tried 2 make one last year. Got stuck In the hole!!

  • I love igloo

  • its snowing heavy in ireland now, ima out to make one now

  • good place to plot your revenge...

  • wherabouts you make this, you in newcastle?

  • I made it in the field behind my house about 10 miles west of newcastle.

  • what would happen if it collapsed

  • nice

  • I'd make my mother in law stay out there.

  • How warm does it get inside an igloo ?

  • It can get up to freezing point apparently, which when you are in the Arctic aint too bad.

  • The inuit are awesome :)

  • looks like a colonoscopy

  • aw that kid is so cute!

  • He's a Geordie like, way'ay man.

  • Long live the Beatles??

Aren't half of them already dead?

    lol

  • funfact:if want to learn how to build somthing serch my igloo and if you dont search tour of an igloo X3

  • i would put water in the joints, let it freeze like cement, and then put snow on ir,r color the snow

  • awesome

  • how come its so dirty in there

  • When I was smoothing out the insides I picked up muck along with the snow. As I made the igloo in the dark, I couldn't see what I was doing inside it so it got a bit mucky.

  • cool !!! I have an idea for you , this year make this igloo and make a slide next to it :) to do the slide simply you dont need stairs cuz u can put your foot in the sonow then make a hill and form the slide , on the sliding part put alot of water on it and leave it for the night then the water will freeze and youll have a brilliant slidde ! :D

  • dude werent you afraid that some hobo might go in there during the night and sleep there and u find him sleeping there lol...dude if i saw that igloo i would so dive onto it just for the heck of it beside that Very nice igloo i made one at mammoth and slept in it it was a fun experence

  • Hobo's don't really exist in North East England - they all seem to head for the big cities in the South.

  • @pondguru theres some ive seen them in newcastle staition

  • Yeah, I suppose there will be the odd one but they don't seem to venture out of the towns like they used to. Years ago I remember seeing a wino get arrested by the police for passing out near a shopping centre and when the police were dragging him away he took a leak so they just left him on the pavement and drove off. A couple of minutes later, they came back and one of them got out the car, picked up the empty bottles and put them in a nearby bin, leaving the dude still lying there. Happy days

  • epic

  • is like a toilet. So you could call it Igloo-toilet

  • props for finishing it, tried bunch of times but never completed one

  • is it warmer inside :O

  • i just want to dive onto it XD

  • awww i wish i lived where there was snow ! D:

  • looks like u chucked a shit inside

  • Yeah, the decor leaves alot to be desired....

It is mud mixed with the snow which I used to smooth around the inside and fill in any cracks.

  • looks good. How long did it take? and did u build it in the proper spiral shape? well done.

  • It took about 3 hours in the dark. It probably would have been a bit qiucker if it was light. I did do it in a spiral shape and provided the blocks (formed in a washing up bowl) were cut with good angles they fitted together sweet.

  • can rent

  • good place to smoke weed..

  • lol

  • @UrgentUrge why i need to watch the vid :)

  • @UrgentUrge HAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH :) XD

  • @UrgentUrge lol my thoughts exactly haha

  • that sucks

  • OK, man.

I checked out your videos to see your achievements but I notice you don't have any.

I am often told that a channel reflects the owners personality. As yours is empty and devoid of interest, I now believe that to be true.

    Well done, man.

  • @pondguru Don't feed the troll, he's some dumbass 14 year-old.

  • I don't mind replying to the spazmonkeys from time to time.

It shows them up as ass clowns.

  • coool

  • check out mine

  • brilliant

  • i have actually and i intend to post when its finished.

  • No worries. Send me the video.

  • that actually looks pretty beast

  • 3 feet in claremore,ok

  • Just dig a hole in there, man - no need to make an igloo.

  • @wchezem haha thats what im doin man. im in edmond its stilll snowin here

  • we just got 18 in of snow last night, guess what im doing today? building an igloo!

  • @pellrin911 Yeah I got 18 inches of snow too, damned lake effect. I would like to make one of these too haha

  • Get it done, man.

  • dont understand how u let ur kids in there.there way to dangrouss

  • That's a joke, right? I could walk over the top of the igloo as it was made properly.

  • @pondguru yes it was a joke.all the time on the new they tell kids not to make them. but if u make it right i will never collapse till a thaw

  • I could imagine a collapse could be deadly as there is a heck of a weight of snow. Believe it or not, this igloo almost disappeared overnight when we had a thaw. It seemed to last for ages (well after the snow had gone) then suddenly was completely gone. Maybe the gypsies stole it?

  • @pondguru maybe????i just started a igloo today.got a big storm last night

  • Good luck, man.

  • nice!

  • oh man id love to fishbowl an igloo

  • Very Nice I Might Make One For My Kids And Good Job!!

  • No worries, glad I made it and got the video to prove it as it melted a few days later.

    Thanks for watching, man.

  • it looks like an gapped asshole with shit inside lol

    but nice igloo

  • Before I look at your profile and put in a friend request, I make this prediction.

Favorite films: 'Weapons of Ass Destruction' and 'Planet of the Gapes'

    You'll go blind, you know.................

  • Nice Igloo!

  • Thanks, man.

  • I heard it could be 69 degrees fairenheit in there, is it really warm?

  • It certainly felt alot warmer than the surrounding temperature but I still think it was at freezing point (0 degrees Centigrade) - not sure what that is in Farenheit, 30 something?- still damn cold, but sheltered.

  • yourr really nice i tryed make one my self but urs loo knicee

  • Thanks for the comment, and thank you for watching the video.

  • Beatiful scene at 0:58. I've got one 1/2 build now but like an idiot i made it square so makin a dome for it is gonna be new.

  • The view is in the field behind my house. We live in quite a nice part of the World.

Yeah, 'square' isn't the accepted build plan but you never know.... let me know how it went, man.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Hang on, thought you had two kids?

  • I do - the other two are cousins of my two.

  • How pissed would you be if some fool intentionally jumped on it and destroyed 5 hours worth of freezing your butt off?

A stupid question, and a job well done. Kids look happy.

  • More than mildly upset, yes.

  • Mint job mate. Good to see kids smiling and having fun...then theres your children who also seemed to enjoy it. ;0)

  • Yaaaa'reet, man how's it hangin' - long time no see.

  • Good job on the igloo. I wanna make one, but no snow over here :(

  • haha the IGLOOGURU. ok the mean thing is it warm. come the summer it will still be there. good job man as u said if the kids are happy thats the mean thing

  • I've just looked at some igloo building videos on Youtube and it puts mine to shame but I'm still happy with it. I built it to test the principle and on that score it works well. When my 2 kids saw it, it was worth getting cold for 5 hours in the dark building it to se the look on their faces when they were saying "we've got a proper igloo".

    Thanks for watching.

  • Man of many talents, well done Richard, the kids love it.and you do??

  • I think the next challenge is to make fire with only sticks - thats going to be a tough task. One for the summer when everything is baked dry to make it easier.

  • @pondguru Just do not do it inside the Igloo

  • Yeah, I built it in the dark so I was scooping all sorts of muck and grass up when I was building it.

  • oh man, thats awesome. i loved doin this stuff when i was growin up. awesome igloo, dont give the wife any ideas though, lol.

  • this video was quite unexpected

  • Yeah, unexpected because you thought I was a gun toting psychpath I bet. My ife and kids are my No.1 priority. Everything else takes a back seat its just that I tend to video these back seat activities.

    Thanks for watching, man.

  • Arggh! I meant wife, not ife.
