  • Priest has so many amazing songs, that for many are unknown. If you are a fan get everything, especially Rocka Rolla, Sad Wings, Sin after Sin, Stained Class, Hell Bent, and Unleashed, ok the 1st decade.

  • Rob looks weird with long hair, lol.

  • @WhoblehwahV2 lol i agree :D

  • I wish it was louder. Goddamn, Halford when he had hair!

  • Gotta love the way Halford stares right into the camera...Sad Wings Of Destiny and Sin After Sin were ahead of their time.

  • Rob looks like Vego from Ghostbusters II

  • ROB HOPPING AROUND WITH THE MIC STAND AND HIS FUNNY WHITE SNEAKERS !!!

  • Probably 6 Ocative...

  • rob halford la voz del heavy metal

  • I love this song more than almost any song in the world!!It's so awesome!!It makes me want to cry!!

  • Incredibly POWERFUL!!!

  • I love how Rob is staring straight into the camera the entire time.

  • @akathasamurai

That's because at that very moment, he had it, he knew it, he was a fucking vocal god, with flawless ease, no strain AT ALL, he just stares at you so you know he is Halford

  • the coolest thing about this video is the cheap clothes and long hair, lol

  • i'm so happy they got out of that phase. one of my favorite songs (well both of them) but that look!! GAWD!!!

  • you prefer the leather look? :S

  • wanderfull!

  • Some of the best music I grew up with. Seen them 3 times... all great performances. Halfords solo releases with Fight are awesome too.

  • would love to have the dvd of this show. halford and the boys were really on

  • Definitly, Rob is best frontman ever, even without the leather !

    What a voice !

The look in his eyes while singing deceiver is just priceless !

Oh , and I love the head flip at the end ,too !

    Priest rules !

  • i actually witnessed TROUBLE soundcheck with this cover, back on the Plastic Greenhead tour. simply awesome!

  • this is one of the greatest early rtock songs ever and is a part of who I am

  • Not just your average hippie. Look into his eyes and hear that voice awaiting to rage. He was taking it easy back then.

  • Love Judas Priest _\m/

    FANTASTIC

  • There's no doubt, quality lasts foerever.

    Rocka-Rolla: 1974 - Nostradamus: 2008. 34 years an the Priest still rules.

    Long live the Priest !!!!

  • @realmetal62

    HELL YEAH!

  • Gosh! This song is just Great!I have watch this video DOSENS of times within the last two months....it is just GREAT!It is just a beautifully made song.

  • I have to admit, this is Rob Halford at his best.=D If it wasn't for this song I never would've began singing. Too bad this is the only live recording of this song.=/

  • He said in the cosmos, is a single sonic sound, that is vibrating consistently, and if we could grip, and hold on to the note, we would see are minds were free... oh their free. Sounds pretty spiritual for a bunch of evil Satan worshipers that want to kill off all of their fans.

  • I think some people might have misunderstood the commented I posted here about a week ago now. I probably should have said: Sounds pretty spiritual for a bunch of supposedly evil Satan worshipers who supposedly want to kill off all of their fans. Besides, wouldn't that be major self sabotage? I mean seriously, think about that for a minute. Judas Priest are the greatest Heavy Metal band ever! No goofy witch hunts could ever change that.

  • this song is so fucking amazing that I had to make a vocal cover on it, feel free to check it. Rob forever.

  • Such a great example of Rob's talent. His voice is amazing in this song.

    LOVE JUDAS PRIEST.

  • hes 28 yrs old here

  • no hes not, halford was born in 1951, this is 1975

  • i was talkin bout glenn

  • awesome.. just awesome

  • essa versao é demais...judas priest...very good,nice,exelente.

  • I fucking LOVE Judas Priest!!!!

And Deceiver is one of the bests songs ever.

  • The most strange thing is why Glenn is so underrated guitarist. He picked up guitar for first time when he was 20...

    Just amazing.

  • yeah he picked up guitar by the time he was 20,but until then he played piano.and i guess that helps a lot, with the musical theory and also the dexterity

  • hes good here couse hes had 7 years guitar playing experience

  • I red that his piano lessons, from his mother were only some months, he didn't pay attention.

  • the high pitched vocals are awesome

  • the last 2;30 of this is the best thing judas priest ever has done, it just rocks.this is as good as the 70's gets

  • I think that's a seperate song, called deceiver

  • you are right it is a seperate song, and it has just a great riff and feel to it.

  • I love how Halford turns the word "grip" into "gri-yee-ip". Three syllables! Awesome!

  • he did it with a full head of hair!

  • Lyrnyrd Priest! or Judas Skynyrd haha still priest rules! and so does skynyrd

  • Dude! Your right!they do look like Lynyrd sknynyrd in this video!Personally....I like Lynyrd Priest the best!

  • It's funy to see priest (especialy halford!) as hippies. And then a year after that they turned into spiked leather metal gods

  • Halford is king

not as mutch high pitched screems as the album version but he still hits them perfect at the end.

Thanks MetalDragon42, i'm realy happy to find a good quality version of Dreamer Deceiver & Deceiver

  • Sorry man ozzy can not touch rob halford and if you listen to ozzy now i think he should lip sink. god bless judas priest.

  • I never even said anything about ozzy m8, I think you may have clicked on the wrong reply butten :)

  • Your Welcome, I been away a log time but now I'm back I will start to Rip some more Good Quality Priest :)

  • @peteg35 I agree! They did this song on every gig I've read, from 1974 to 1976. After that, it was dropped, as it took it's toll (believe it or not) on Halford's voice, to scream like that at the time. Great song nonetheless!

  • My God,that voice--fantastic!

  • I love this song!Very nicely done...gotta love the 70's whoo 2 years before i was born...wow!

  • Way better than the album version, wish I could get it in audio only.

  • awesome song,.,. priest \M/

  • Merc your an idiot they are playing in a club in 1975. So what if it doesnt sound like the studio version it kicks ass and id like to kick yours. go away

  • Ditto

  • I wish they would play this song in today concerts.

  • what!! that statement is madness this is the best version i have EVER seen of dreamer deceiver

  • Vintage metal in it's utmost exquisite form. Impeccable live vocal performance. Thank you for posting this.

  • Im with you i could listen to this all day. Rock On and hail to the Priest.

  • Tell u what..? "We shall stay for-EVER!!!"

  • More like.. for-EVAhhhhhhhh! (brilliant metal scream)

  • Rob sang whole range without falsetto. Pretty amazing!

  • Yes, but with his mixture voice though. Pretty amazing YES!

  • This is my second posting. God!!! Old Priest!! Love it!! I can listen to my records, but to watch it is so much better. Thanks for the vid! Just listen to Rob...

  • HEll YEAH!!! This is so fuckin' awesome. One of Priest's best songs!!!

  • Yeah! They are awesome! Great vocal, great guitar and great composition. Sad Wings of Destiny is my favorite.

  • Children, you just had to be there. I bought the original Sad Wings and Sin after Sin on vinyl.

As well as the Woodstock LP and Frank Zappa.

Go back, and listen to Queen in the early 70's

Anyone here heard of Captain Beyond?

  • I *LOVE* Captain Beyond... there used to be a great clip of them up here on YouTube ... like, over 10 minutes of Rod Price, Bobby Caldwell, and the boys just ROCKING like nobody's business.

I wonder if that is still up....

  • I have to see this every week; I love the harmony; awesome; (",)

  • I have seen it so many times, and still,, I love it...

    Jim

  • HALFORD! even though they all look like hippies heheh.

  • Gull records can eat a dead mooses last shit

  • not the greatest jp fan,but rocka rolla & dreamer deceiver are up there with the best of classic rock, i love these tunes.

  • yeah that's unfortunate, but i got hero hero when it was on vinyl, and record companies releasing 'greatest hits' type albums without the bands permission was standard fare then, and still is now. its part of the evil of the record industry. thank god mp3s came along and shut those pigs down for good. ;-)

  • man. this is my all time favorite old priest song. this song rules on the Hero Hero album.

  • you are aware thet "Hero Hero" is not recognized by the band themselves and it was just a way for Gull records to make money, right? This song originally came from Sad Wings of Destiny in 1975, not Hero Hero in the early 80s.
