  • Simon just had to stand there and the stage is his. wowww

  • Bryn is by far the funniest, most engaging guy in that group! :D

  • this just doesnt work...their maid would by a skinny boy from Barcelona in an apron and assless chaps

  • wow

  • <3 this the audience's reaction to the songs.

Daniel Evans is kind off over shadowed at first by Simon, but then he comes into his own, I actually find him quite attractive wrong I know!

  • daniel evans is a bit bland - great voice but doesn't have much personality and its so obvious next to Simon.

  • I have looked for Daniel Evans & Jenna Russell singing 'Move On' from Sondeims 80th B'day prom but cannot find it!! Any chance you can advise? Or upload? :-) Thanks.

  • This is why we pay our licence fee!

  • I love the fact that the audience just didn't know it was coming... Their relish in singing is brilliant! I wish the opening of the Prom was on as well....

  • This is five minutes of pure delight. I've always loved 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' and this is the highlight of the show--for me, at least. Now, thanks to the Beeb we have this fabulous performance to rank alongside the film(with Zero Mostel) and the stage show(I saw it with Frankie Howerd in the lead role). Now I'm hoping that the BBC will release this whole Prom concert onto DVD or blu ray.

    John.

  • First performner is Simon Russell Beale, second performer is Daniel Evans, third peformer is Julian Ovenden and finally of course Bryn Terfel

  • What I really like about this is that the orchestra members not playing seem to be really enjoying it as well. It's great. Cheers me up every time I watch it.

  • I've lost count of the number of times that I've watched this - a combination of the song, the orchestra, the fact that the singers are clearly having a ball and the deafening roar from the audience at the end. This was one of my dad's favourite songs from a musical and he would have loved this!

  • Any body knows who is the first singer in this song

  • I wasn't to aware of Sondheims music but after seeing this prom i love it. Sondheims musical rock!

  • Increible !!!!!!!

  • shoot me. please.

  • So glad I got tickets to this prom, it was one of the best nights I've had in ages!

Anyone who says Sondheim is too serious should be forced to sit down and watch this video!!

  • This is an absolute joy. I have watched this so many times. Truly delightful.

  • I loved this prom - it was fantastic - I've watched it 3 more times on the iplayer too! Thanks for the upload BBC. FAB-U-LOUS :)

  • Saw this on television the whole celebration was brilliant, loved it :) Huge Sondheim fan so there's no suprise I loved it :)

  • Fantastic!

  • day made. Who are these guys?
