@YouthFreedomFighters if you think about it though, technically, the sword would be: Sword of Loxley. Because Robert Loxley or Loxly(forgot how they spelled it), stole this sword from his Father. The words on the hilt came from Robin's Father so..I guess it makes for better marketing, seeing as how they don't have the: Bow of Robin Hood...lol
@grimsdyke From how I saw it, Robin's father was killed by the sheriff of Nottingham who then took his sword. Then, Robin killed the sheriff and took the sword, at least that's how the movie was.
@YouthFreedomFighters in the 2010 movie? As I recall, Robert was dying and told Robin he took the sword from his father ..Walter Loxly out of haste and wanted Robin to return it to him. Then Walter told Robin he would give it to him(after Robin returned it to him), if he stayed on as his pretend son, in order to keep the Loxly house.
@wolfdragga Well Robin Hood was a knight so of course he would have a sword, and besides knights were rich in those days. However, Robin Hood is best known for his marksmanship.
@YouthFreedomFighters ah see once again i was speaking of the Russel crowe film, where he wasnt a Knight. But other wise your correct. Theres actual records of Knight taking loans to pay for a good sword.
Scabbard is made of leather. The only thing I didn't like is that the metal decorative elements on the scabbard were made of the cheapest metal in the world... pewter. Takes away from the quality of the scabbard.
Robin Hood was best known as an archer, perhaps the best archer that ever lived, but as I understand, he was a good swordsman too.

@grimsdyke Oh, well I was thinking about the 90s movie with Kevin Costner.

@YouthFreedomFighters Historically archers were rarely swordsman, usually only carrying a seax or dagger, couldn't afford a sword...
