You shift early so that you don't lose the boost from the turbo, apparently it actually helps the acceleration though personally I have not mastered it.

to prevent understeer you need to let off the throttle and sometimes even apply the brakes slightly

In reality straightening out the wheels for a moment helps a lot too (If you're front tyres are slipping this aligns them with the direction of motion and grip is regained). It's also the only thing you should do on tarmac if you're about to understeer into something, you only use the brakes after you've done this to transfer weight to the front wheels as you turn (If your setup allows trail braking). But I haven't played RBR so I don't know anything about that.

Well driven. I always understeer on the default setup for some reason and usually need to tamper with the settings to make it stop. I usually have the biggest problems in hairpins because I can't see from the cabin. Do you drive from the external view, or bumper, or cabin?

If you learned to drift you'd shave a lot of time off your turns. It kind of sucks how you have to pull to almost a dead stop before making a 90.

good speed. work on your wide corners. give some more rev for 3rd and 4th gears about that turns. that will help you to oversteer.
