  • So I take it that the wolf is supposed to be the modern Child Molester?

And when you ride on his back its like a guy saying "Hop in the car we'll go for a ride" and when you die... Well self explanatory.

I haven't played this game, and because Im a cry baby, I never will attempt it :D

  • @MrParadoZia Im pretty sure it was supposed to be scary/creepy and I wouldn't agree with it being 'charming' but overall it was ok-- but much too slow like walking took ages...:s

  • I wanna meet the wolf plz!

  • This game wasn't as scary as expected. Took me n' my best friend like 5 hours to beat it and the pink-smoke-scene with the naked person was hilariousssss. Most of the game was actually really funny...not their intention I'm sure..:X

  • I was wondering if I should buy this 'game' or not? As I'm not sure whether I want to fund this Belgian couples' insatiable appetite for hardcore drugs...

  • I dont really seem to understand this, Ive watch some gameplays, and Ive seen a wolf that apperently dont kill the girl your playing but if you sit on his back hes going to run around and you end up lying in the rain, and you will look kinda like a zombie.

And whats the point of the game? do you have any missions? any misterous puzzels to solve? Or to stop something horrible to happend?

  • @TheKitsuneMuffin its much easier to think of this as not a game, but a form of interactive art

  • why does the wolf get you and that you fail when you go straight to gram's with out going to the woods ???????

  • The art design is beautiful and possibly bar none, but I think the game itself has not much substance and takes too much time. There's also no good reason to have so many girls. The greatest difference are different thoughts in text messages. It's like the game never got beyond the concept phase, there's so little content. I also reject the mockery of committing hours to collecting all these apparently pointless items.

  • YAY!!!! That was sooooooo good!!! I've played the Graveyard, and I felt the same way. It was so sad when she got tired. Oh, in the full version (I don't have it) you can actually die. ITS SOO SAD!!! T_T

  • YAY!!!! I like the girl in the white dress now. She's a gurdian, just like you said. :) Plus, she gave Rose a hug. Thats really sweet. Thanks for the video. I'm at 05:09 now.

  • The animation is fantastic - she looks so fragile...!!!

  • THE MOST EXITING GAME OF THE YEAR!!!

  • This game reminds me of Coraline (☻_☻) the music, the art, etc.

  • @PrincessQPatsy Yes, they do seem to follow a similar vibe

  • oh! i dont like it :L lol i love it but i hate it and would never play alone!! but i feel likei want to meet the wolf!!!

  • @littleflamestar The actual wolf encounter is interesting ... actually probably the least creepy of the encounters compared to the other forest denizens who stand in as wolves for the different sisters.

  • @Scribegamer you mean the floating zombie? i thought that was creepy and the others were just sinister. i mean, a man in a rusty park then it blacks out- that sinister.

  • Love the look of this game! It has a very Rule of Rose/ American Mcgee's Alice feel. Your preview was very good, thanks a lot! I'm definately buying this game!

  • Wow, I definately like the "Character will do things by themselves...".

    I definately like this game.

  • Your a great commentary person XD I laughed constantly practically at the truth you told of this game! :P

  • @DaTaFiEnD7 Thanks : )

  • if you pause the video at 8:05 the friend looks like an alien

  • Suddenly! As your friend draws you away from the Path, A Giant Wolf jumps out and chases you back to the Path, but before you reach the Path he gobbles you up!

  • @stringanime The wolf isnt rlly a wolf so that cant happen the wolf is rlly a person x3 he already met the wolf so ya =P

  • If you walk into the forest a little deeper, the path will disappear from the map. You can only get back on the path with the help of the girl in the white dress. She will also help you find certain objects within the woods.

  • the music for this...is both creepy and mesmerizing(however you spell that)

...your character is so trusting...she like met her in the woods..

  • i wanna download this :P

    i most have the game......

  • wtf was tht black thing at 4:59

  • @StubbornMook That's funny -- probably a stray texture in the game that was out of place

  • @StubbornMook Thats a raven

  • @miyumii1200 thats so raven

  • well the "failure" in The Path differs from the usual "beat-the-game-or-fail" failure-perhaps the girl in white symbolizes a girl who does not have a wolf, and who wants to lead the others to the path so that they stay like she is. or anything, really. its all up to how each player interprets it.

  • i keep thinking the white girl will help to point the sisters to find something..which she does quite much but i don't get why she would also bring them back to the path too..

the one path to fail the game

  • But The Path is an extreme improvement from that, and it won't be so short if you don't rely on flowers. Took me three hours on my own to get one girl's ending. And the endings aren't scary unless you're alone, actually playing the game, with the volume turned up.

  • DId you figure it out yet?

    The wolf.....

    >___>

  • Yep! Check out some of the later vids : )

  • esoteric game :D

  • It is esoteric, and charming -- a refreshing change of pace, if you will.

  • How do i change the cam? The game starts in firstperson, and i cant run :O

  • I believe you just hold down "shift" and the direction key, but a quick check in Options should confirm that.

  • This is a problem with the engine itself, something about the settings in the shortcut which starts the game. I don't remember any more, to be honest, but I know that the TALE OF TALES's forums covered the problem. :/

  • I consider this a Digital 3-Dimensional Story that you can control.

Not so much a formal game, as you've said, "goal driven".

But more along the lines of experiencing certain events based on mood, necessity, and curiosity.

  • Yeah, it's pretty interesting to see how far you can push storytelling into the traditional video game medium, without making it seem almost unrecognizable as a game

  • I'm still just experiencing the game myself, but you've definitely covered the 'early days' perspective.

  • Thanks -- I was hoping to just give an intro to how one might approach the game.

  • The Path is all about experience, you should go into it with an open mindset and not approach it with ANYTHING in mind.

  • Agreed.

  • Hah well, I wouldn't be so down on them. I think playing it without considering it a "game" per se is the right way to go -- think of it as just a story experience.

  • i was considering getting this game.

is it any good? how is the overall storyline?

i've heard it was a little... unsettling. is it that bad?

please let me know if it is worth buying!

  • It's hard for me to say about the plot, because I've barely scratched the surface of the story in this second run-through. I'll try to put up more videos that continue with Rose's story within a day or so. I suspect many of the character choices could end in death, but I recall the game developers saying that they want players to embrace death as part of the story.

  • alright, that sounds good. thank you very much. right, i knew that to win the game your character is supposed to die. i'll look for your upcoming videos and see if i should get it. thanks again!

  • No problem -- second part is up now. I'm hoping that future videos will be able to find the more unsettling aspects of this game.
