What do politics have to do with a viral infections? You cannot control the spread of a virus. There is no way to know when it will mutate or how it will mutate. All we know is that this virus has been around before and has mutated several times already. On the economy. The U-6 unemployment rate at the Bureau of Labor Statistics website shows our unemployment rate at 16.8%. No it's NOT mandatory. There may be exceptions with public schools. Apparently this flu is more dangerous for the young than the elderly. That was the case with the 1916 flu too. It's my theory that older people were exposed to flus that younger people were not. Mabye taking the flu shots is a factor with the resistance to the new flu.

It depends on their sources. Different sources come to very different conclusions. I have researched the Flu Epidemic, but I should have googled to make sure of the dates. The 1918 flu was most deadly for people in the age group of 17-25. It was less deadly for children and older people. Or maybe WWI war fatalities screwed the stats.
I believe its good to research different sources - they can be biased as you are aware. (note that most govt sources have never mentioned the 1918 outbreak to date?) I find that strange but of course its not proof of anything. People who research these things are really not as paranoid as people who don't think they are. Most are concerned when things are being hidden from public view and that surely is a healthy concern.

30,000 people die of flu every single year in the USA. Routinely. So far, from what I can see, this swine flu is no different than any other flu. All flus originate either from birds or pigs. By the way, I'm on no prescriptions whatsoever. When I quit eating meat and went vegan my serum cholesterol went from 200 to...119. All of my labs are perfect. I don't even need blood pressure meds any more. My mom used to have a serum cholesterol of 235 and she was a very LIGHT meat eater and only chicken or turkey or fish. She went vegan and her serum cholesterol dropped to 135. No meds. Amazing. But I guess that doesn't mean anything to you doctors-you know, eating right.

I see my doctor every year. At least once a year. For a physical. My doc says my labs are to be envied. All the time. Then I won't see him again until the following year ...It wasn't alway s like that. When I was a flesh eater I was on blood pressure pills, stomach pills (Prevacid and I still chewed on tums all day), suffered sleep apnea, etc etc. And border line diabetes. It all vanished. I went vegan, dropped 60 pounds, and got taken off ALL of my prescriptions (don't need them).
Amazing my stomache never bothers me any more. And I don't even need a single tums. Sleep apnea gone. My blood pressure averages 100/70. I feel great! Amazing just from a lifestyle choices. And my serum choleterol which used to have a very low density lipoprotiens normalized and my overall cholesterol dropped from 200 to 119. with NORMAL levels of lipoproteins.

All we know is that this virus has been around before and has mutated several times already. It's really hard for me being a student to find a job in a market where graduates with decades of experience in every field imaginable are clambering for those same jobs... Im at the point where I may have to talk to that military recruiter at the next job fair and Im an only child. I do encourage people to AT LEAST take the ordinary flu vaccine because you WILL get partial immunity against H1N1 if you been taking it year after year like I do. Apparently this flu is more dangerous for the young than the elderly. That was the case with the 1916 flu too. It's my theory that older people were exposed to flus that younger people were not. Mabye taking the flu shots is a factor with the resistance to the new flu.

The flu you speak of is the 1918 so called spanish flu which actually wasn't spanish at all - it began in the US.
You will find if you research properly that between 50-100 million people died worldwide from the virus. You will also find that countries such as greece, who didnt participitate in the vaccine programme were not affected.

Ok, now the video is not censored after 1000 people watch it already. Anyways, from my experience vaccines have made me more ill every time. Everyone I have heard comment about having the swine flu has said, it was mild and only lasted about three days. This suggests to me that giving yourself a full blown flu through the vaccine is probably not the wise idea when you may have the chance of a very mild to no flu at all. I would worry more about the antibiotic resistant bacteria (flesh eating MRSA and VRE) found in raw meat from antibiotic abuse (routinely put in food/water of farm factory animals-keeping them alive in pure filth). Yes MRSA/VRE gets killed with cooking, but HANDLING it -you can get MRSA in tiny microcracks in the skin, or rub your nose, or pick up your kids and infect them with MRSA or VRE. China routinely vaccinates chickens against bird flu and they STILL get bird flu. I agree with you-we DON'T KNOW if the swine flu vaccine is truly "safe" and we do NOT KNOW if it will work on people. It works on ferrets, but how effective it will be for people is unknown, and Swine flu may have mutated from the original prototype. I feel this vaccine was rushed out far too quickly. let me get you to understand something ok? immunization and vaccination is entirely different, you can just simply take vitamin D and it'll progressively fight the lethal virus on it's own so that it'll boost your immune system into the legitimate process without the risk of artificial bacteria, again that's almost as taking diet pills to lose the weight and you risk cancer with that type of stuff, I dunno how it's complex for u to get it but if u want the vaccine, go for it. but not me.

Vaccinations are sensible but this swine flu vaccine-you are going into UNKNOWN territory. We don't even know for sure if it will work on humans. I take the regular flu vaccination yearly - it's like taking nothing. But this swine flu vaccination? I don't trust it. I DO know I have PARTIAL immunity against H1N1 because I regularly take the ordinary flu vaccinations-I always INSIST on it!! In fact I would love to have my regular yearly flu shot now :-)

Animal testing is NOT as safe as you think. That's why multitudes of drugs get pulled off the market. The physiology of subhuman animals are like apples and oranges compared to people. For example, monkeys with HIV do not become symptomatic and do not result in AIDS. Only ONE chimpanzee developed AIDS (despite *thousands* inoculated with HIV), and chimps are the closet 98.9% genetic compatibility. Chocolate is deadly to dogs, but safe for people. Animal testing is invalid for safety.

Only 5? How about dozens, and billions of dollars of litigation across America YEARLY from recalled drugs. Those were ALL tested and approved by the FDA and deemed "safe" that they were prescribed to the public - now recalled. Actually there's quite a large list of it. One famous drug, HAILED BY THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY AS MIRACULOUS-fenfluramine and phentermine, i.e., Fen-phen, caused lung hypertension, heart valve damage - and a whopping $13 billion dollars. Yes it was approved by the FDA :-)

By the way, I'm on no prescriptions whatsoever. When I quit eating meat and went vegan my serum cholesterol went from 200 to...119. All of my labs are perfect. I don't even need blood pressure meds any more. My mom used to have a serum cholesterol of 235 and she was a very LIGHT meat eater and only chicken or turkey or fish. She went vegan and her serum cholesterol dropped to 135. No meds. Amazing. But I guess that doesn't mean anything to you doctors-you know, eating right.

I see my doctor every year. At least once a year. For a physical. My doc says my labs are to be envied. All the time. Then I won't see him again until the following year ...It wasn't alway s like that. When I was a flesh eater I was on blood pressure pills, stomach pills (Prevacid and I still chewed on tums all day), suffered sleep apnea, etc etc. And border line diabetes. It all vanished. I went vegan, dropped 60 pounds, and got taken off ALL of my prescriptions (don't need them).

Amazing my stomache never bothers me any more. And I don't even need a single tums. Sleep apnea gone. My blood pressure averages 100/70. I feel great! Amazing just from a lifestyle choices. And my serum choleterol which used to have a very low density lipoprotiens normalized and my overall cholesterol dropped from 200 to 119. with NORMAL levels of lipoproteins.

PS the USDA knows about the MRSA and VRE in meat. I know. I sent it to them, findings and research back early 2007. In Nov 2007 I received a letter from the USDA saying they never checked or researched MRSA in meat. Guess what? USDA knows about it now, and don't think anything about it. By the way, the University of Microbiology in JAPAN back in the late 1990's published an official paper that MRSA was found in raw chicken. Now the meat industry is going to say it's 100% safe. Except one major flaw-genetically modified food didn't exist during the Swine flu or Spanish flu of 1918. Flu always originates from either birds or pigs and can cross species being highly mutagenic. It's kind of fascinating to think swine flu is part pig, part bird, and part human genomes. Now THAT is interesting.
