is it just me or does this GTR seem slower than other GTR's? This one seems to struggle a bit from 120 onwards. Unless other videos are modified GTR's.
The zr1 is slower form 0 to 60 and it only went round the nurburgring in 7:19 is because it was fitted with DOT competition tires that is NOT stock, the actual thine with stock tires is 7:26. Look up on Wikipedia for : List of Nurburgring Nordschleife Lap Times, if you don't believe me.
seems like you dont know GT-R is a 6 cyl. car so as long as the corvette dont get 0-60 in 2.3 seconds dont bother on opening your big mouth. unless you want something else on it. 8====D

@altimgamr The GTR has more technology assisting it then Lukes X-wing while the Vette uses suspension technology lifted from a Roman chariot and it can still lay down faster lap times then the GTR not to mention it comes standard with ceramic brakes. GTR wins in the interior department but that's about it. The Vette is simply a faster and more driver oriented vehicle.

In the US , the most popular type of street race is the 1/4 mile drag race.. where acceleration and top speed ARE the best stats for a car , no turning needed.
In japan , the most popular type of street race is drifing , the track usually has really sharp turns and all that in a great number , so you don't have to go really fast . Instead , they made the car handle around corners flawlessly..
So both cars are awesome for the purpose they were meant for..
GTR The car that does the work for you! All you have to do is point it and floor it. Just a big video game in car form. The driver is removed from the car cuz of all the electronics. @worldtravel101 technically, it is too slow to be CALLED A SUPERCAR. thats not saying its not fast, its just not fast enough to qualify for that name sake. To be considered a supercar, u have to have a huge amount of horsepower PER pound. That means that even if ur car has 600 hp, if the power to weight ratio is low, its not a super car. There r super cars out there that have only 200ish hp but are considered supercars b/c they have 4hp per pound bc they weigh like only 1200lbs or something

@noshabibis ZR1 is a good car , however I feel the Zr1 wasts allot of power when trying to put the 640 hp on the road.
I think the GTR 2012 with 530 hp stock is far better car as it can use all its power is 15.000$ more expenssive
than the old GTR 2008 . But in the normal 1/4 race the ZR1 cant keep up with the new GTR .
Note- the ZR1 might still be faster in a long long straight road in the Nevada desert

@thepunisheruae Are you stupid? the Top Gear laptime for the ZR1 was a DAMP Lap, comparing a dry lap to a damp one is redundant, you do relise, the ZR1 lap was the Fastest damp lap ever right? and a wet lap is 4s off a dry lap, and a damp lap is 2.5s off a dry, so there goes your theory...

@Blueball0120 yeah i just looked it up which is cool cause i found an 09 GTR on ebay stock with only 600 miles on it for 37 grand. plus the 20 grand you said the AMS package cost... is still about 23 grand cheaper than a new one LOL and my car will only have 600 miles on it basically rebuilt and be a bigger beast for 20 grand less

nice car, i would have stuck with the straight 6, it sings better, i own a fifteen year old gtst, spent seven grand on parts ,fitted them myself programed it using nistune, it see,s 511 bhp, and hits the rev limiter at 165, now thats bang 4 buck,, and i would bet it gets to 150 faster than the new one, although it would have the legs to 60,, big fun no money, fabulous

WARNING: Before watching this video, notice how the break-in after 100 mph slows down? You might ask why. I have the answer. The driver does NOT have the GT-R in full sport mode. The gauges tell everything, and from extracting this video to its limits, I conquer. To the floor, It pulls AWD-CVT symmetrically 460 horsepower and around 420 ft-lbs of torque. With that said, that is not the full extent to Nissan's Supercar the GT-R. The gearbox and motor fully allows 205 capable miles per hour.

In the US , the most popular type of street race is the 1/4 mile drag race.. where acceleration and top speed ARE the best stats for a car , no turning needed.
In japan , the most popular type of street race is drifing , the track usually has really sharp turns and all that in a great number , so you don't have to go really fast . Instead , they made the car handle around corners flawlessly..
So both cars are awesome for the purpose they were meant for..

GTR The car that does the work for you! All you have to do is point it and floor it. Just a big video game in car form. The driver is removed from the car cuz of all the electronics. Can you get it in manual? NO!!!! overblown oversized overweight and overrated! Been reading about this car for years and while impressive its not stunning. I'll spend 20k less and get the vette.

@worldtravel101 technically, it is too slow to be CALLED A SUPERCAR. thats not saying its not fast, its just not fast enough to qualify for that name sake. To be considered a supercar, u have to have a huge amount of horsepower PER pound. That means that even if ur car has 600 hp, if the power to weight ratio is low, its not a super car. There r super cars out there that have only 200ish hp but are considered supercars b/c they have 4hp per pound bc they weigh like only 1200lbs or something
