  • That is pretty bad. 1- The 13 colonies were not alone. There was also New France and spanish colonies. 2- It's not like the people from Africa came to America freely. 3- The King of England did not "think" the colonies were his. They WERE his.

  • This is horseshit - especially as it's clearly a 'history' lesson for kids. God help the children who are going to be fed this trash. It's very sad that America can't get a grip on it's own history and come face to face with Itself.

  • @slideharp1 Assuming this film is intended for little kids:

    1) Little kids aren't going to listen to a truly accurate portrayal, as it takes a lot of time and requires an understanding of concepts they don't yet understand.

    2) Apart from the "treated like children" analogy, and maybe the bit about India (I've heard he figured out he wasn't in India pretty quickly), everything said seems pretty accurate.

Why is this horseshit? Lets make a youtube first and really discuss it :)

  • @SirColgrevance It's horseshit because it treats kids as if they were stupid - as do you with your contention about "concepts they would never understand". So stop insulting Your Own intelligence by pretending to ask me what the problem is.

  • @slideharp1 Depending on the audience this was shown to, you're right; I'd say its too simplistic for kids 10-12 years old, for example. But I'm guessing they showed this to kindergartners. What other concepts would you try to include?

  • This video is too nice!

    Dear greetings from Italy.

  • Nice : )
