  • It looks like you used clay or something to make the controller. What is it, it's great!

  • thats fcking awesome with this brain you can be rich... :D i hope you will

  • I apologise to the community for burning xiao2. it has left a bad smell. I'm sorry.

I welcome constructive criticism! it is the best way to make something robust. please if you can see holes in this, mention it, but please without ridicule or judgement - these things only get in the way.

chances are I have thought about it (I've been looking at these things for over 2 years now), but maybe I haven't.

    samu

  • great work. nice electronics knowledge!

  • I really like the potential. Just to rebut xiaou2, I seem to recall that Nintendo came out with a game system recently that has a controller you hold in mid-air...what was it called again? I think it has sold around 9 million units. Isn't it is called a WII or something. Maybe they don't advertise it on Cartoon Network. Kudos to the inventor; keep it up! Don't let the fools sway your creativity. Remember, IBM saw no potential for the original mouse when the inventors presented it to them.

  • playing a game where you 'Sometimes' hold the cursor midair for a short duration is WAY different than working 8+hrs w/ mouse intensive apps. A FOOL is one who does not weigh logic and reason.

  • The creator has not specified an application for this device. The potential is what is important. If you don't think it has potential, fine. Then create something with the ideas you've rattled off in these comments and post it on YouTube. Then people can criticize your work as "ridiculous." I can see many applications for this kind of devise and I hope I can buy one someday. For example, it would make an awesome game controller.

  • Guy says has problem w/ wrists & develops 2 try 2 solve dat. But his Dsign maks things worse instead o help'n. Holdin D arm/wrist N air + twistin D wrist + addin mor steps (mor clicks 2 needed 2 do regular tasks) = more damages. Dat is why I said 'Ridiculous'. Im sure he understands it now, even if U dont. I gave him the answer 2 his trouble, He only has to build it.

  • Oh and just so you know, I wasn't specifically targeting you as the fool in my last statement. This was a general statement to people who would try to persuade the creator that his invention was "ridiculous." Many inventions that are a part of our everyday lives were once deemed ridiculous, and I wanted him to know he has support for his vision. I hope you didn't take my fool comment personally.

  • Okay, so where's YOUR million-dollar invention?

  • Lets fix this:

1 use a 'Vertical mouse' that slides.

2 use pedals or a scroll wheel combo: L pedal (digital) = left clik

R pedal (analog) = right clik + arrow down

to cycle thru windows rightclick menu options

(every nth degree of pedal gives a down arrow

press which then cycles the menu highlight. Let up = up arrow presses cycled)

  • Scroll wheel version:

Press scroll wheel down to activate R.Clik

roll wheel to arrow thru option menu each wheel clik = one arrow press - up/down depending on the direction you are rolling the wheel

  • another idea, to use the feet w/ a sliding

mouse 'slipper'. The hands free to use a

    moded keyboard or hand device.

will need an accuracy button to be pressed 4 fine moves, cause feet arnt as agile as hands.

  • The use of multiple scroll wheels is more realistic. Pressure Nubs R not accurate & painful 2 fudge with 4 long periods. (resistance +2 many 'misses') Wheels rotate w/ ease & R not sloppy nor easy to 'miss' yor selection.

  • Ahh, but I guess Im a Stupid Idiot. I guess I Better go back to cartoon network for more inspiration.

  • Ridiculous. Its more straining holding a device mid-air than to slide a mouse around. This is slow, clunky, awkward, painful, & useless.

  • o really? how do you know this? when did you try it? because i dont remember giving it to some fucking idiot to try out.

what do you expect? its a fucking prototype to demonstrate a concept.

slow, clunky, awkward, painful, & useless? Thats just your mind mate

If youre too stupid to see what I'm showing then go back to cartoon network

  • Your cursing suggest your good nature. Try LOGIC. Try2 hold your arm outside your body for 2 minutes and see how tired your arm gets. Then tell us how ur mouse will be less straining 2 use. Cool hardware ability - poor personality, poor design ideals.

  • Or maybe it suggests your post was poor.

Criticisms are far more valuable than praise, however arrogance is worthless.

so you have formed your opinion, and straight away. so what point in a conversation?

lose all opinions, the arrogance, and open your mind. and then ill talk to ya. and we can shift the conversation onto a different wavelength.

otherwise it is a waste of energy.

    samu

ps You can rest it in your lap between clicks. There's no strain. Maybe fatigue will be an issue...

  • A mouse seems alot faster compared to this...

    Looks cool, though.

  • Yes, it is. I still use the mouse instead of this contraption. but try looking ahead of what is in front of you. within the next year I will be using a pad a little like this. the path of least resistance will channel away from the mouse and keyboard.

  • That's pretty amazing. Really. I can see this in the future

  • WOW

  • cool but mouse is just fine for me :)

  • Wow, how did you make all these!?

You will be a millionaire very soon.
