Wonderful video. You, sir or madam, may have inspired me to take this trip with a couple of mates! Corica is an amazing island, been there a couple of times, but never been to the mountains on foot.
I think we took 15 days for the trek and then 2 extra days for rest days. This gave a good balance between having fun on rest days and challenging walking.
14 days is enough but you will probably have to combine 2 days into one which would be tough but possible all the same.
I recommend the rest days though if you can because it made it feel more like a holiday instead of a test of endurance.
Great video!! I've been researching this trek for a while and this is great inspiration for me to just go on and do it! What time of year was it when you went? and did you have to book ahead at the regfuges? Thanks again!
we went on the 23 of july to the 13 august 08 so it was really hot. not one cloud went in front of the sun and it didn't rain. we didn't have to book at the refuges and there were always places on the ground to sleep with good facilities. you must do it.
I wanna do the GR20 next year.looks awesome and looks like you had loads of fun along the way!How long does it take to do? also what is the first song?many thanks..sy.
It is an amazing trek and one you'll never forget. it takes 15 days of walking, thats what most people do it in, staying at refuges along the way every night. some people do it uber fast but we made more of a holiday of it. we had a couple of rest days on the trek then two days at the end to spend on the beaches.
We also treked the GR20 last year, and it was one of the best times of my life! if you are seriously considering doing it, Paddy Dillons guide to the GR20 is essensial! wathcing this vedio is great, because we went to all the same places, and even jumped from the same rocks!!! we also took 2 day breaks, which made the whole thing more enjoyable, followed by a few days in calvi at the end, which has a great beach to treat yourself with!!! good luck if you do go :)

wanting to plan a trip. The trail on the video looks confusing, are there somekind of markers or easy enough to navigate on your own?
