I am glad to see the positive comments on Round Room. It is truly a very good album, especially pebbles, seven, walls and waves. I find that nearly every Phish album requires some time to digest before it can be appreciated. I have been listening to them on and off for many years, and honestly, the only album that I picked up immediately after release and was immediately happy with it was Nectar. I remember buying Rift and initially being disappointed, but ultimately realizing that is prob
@Antelope781 ably their best album. The same can be said for Hoist, Breathes, Ghost, Farmhouse and Round Rm. Once I took some time to reflect, I truly appreciated what was on these albums. Fans go on tour, hear all the classics and expect the same on the albums and are invariably disappointed. Several years go by and they are clammoring for Walls of the Cave. The only true dud is Undermind - and the band was in a bad place at that time. Fans should stop overanalyzing every thing Phish does.
I would say the same applies to Joy and TTE in particular - it is a good song, and the first true multi-part composition Trey has written in many years. Enjoy it while it lasts, because some day they will really be gone.
@TMWSITY Its probably one of my favorite studio Phish albums because its so totally raw and has such great material. I remember downloading the whole album from Kazaa a few weeks before it was released....And now it has disappeared. Karma. I need to order a new copy. Great song.
At the moment he said: "with one tiny spark" someone shot up a very perfectly timed bottle rocket that popped at exactly the moment he completed the word "spark"
I don't think very many people noticed, but it was really cool.
the bass bombs mike drops at the very end of this clip are inviting. can't wait for them to explore this tune in march and june. lots to look forward to.
Agreed. this whole dvd is gold. and the comments provided by the guys during movie are insightful. My one complaing is that they would sometimes cut off jams. i was like, "damn, i wanted to hear the rest of that!"
I'd have to lean Walls of the Cave on this one. Waves also has alot of potential. I think though in a couple years ppl will talk more about Song I heard the Ocean Sing, the one in Brooklyn sucked but the one in Saratoga was sick jamming, that song has alot of potential. but Pebbles is definately in top 2 or 3 post farmhouse songs.
Proto-Indo-European root *ank-, meaning "to bend" or "bow".
