  • this is a positive or negative ?

  • How accurate is this test in determining ACL tear.

  • @6400az Well thats how doctors can tell if you have a torn acl pretty much. that example is testing to see if the acl would hold the tibia in place with the femur, which it didnt. That is what a torn ACL would do

  • Thanks for posting

  • I was getting this test done once a month for my ACL :-( brings back the pain instantly!

  • thanks. great video for teaching...

  • this makes me weak in the knees!(haha)... i had this test done to me except my knee slid about 5 mm forward.... yuck.

  • yup been there done that, completely ruptured my acl and they told me it was obvious from this test.

  • it's difficult to do with an obese patient0_o

  • ROFL

  • actuallyyyy this aint stupid becouse this is seeing if the knee is tighened enough soooo

  • That ain´t stupid my friend, ik had my acl snapped and this is the way they find, of course i also had a MRI-Scan, butt it's a very good threat

  • That is how you can tell if an ACL is ruptured... Actually a good video if you want to see the test performed.

  • yea thats not stupid.... because your ACL connects to the anterior of your tibia and the posterior of your femur...when it is torn you should be able to move the tibia a few mm posteriorly. this is a really good teaching tool

  • you've got the anatomy right, but the test is positive is you can move the tibia anteriorly.
