  • whenever i look at their drummer, he constantly makes me think of him as like one of these guy's dad who's filling in for a sick friend rofl!!!

  • @Dunderhead36 ....Why because he doesn't rock some stupid emo cut? You must have missed the memo that Radiohead is a legit band of musicians and not some studio-built pop act created to sell you Mountain Dew and Xtreme Doritos. Focus less on how you think people should look and more on music and some day you will get it maybe. Lady Gaga is ----->

  • @Harm88 um no? he just looks like one of these guy's dad who's filling in for a sick friend......

  • @Harm88 his comment was clearly a joke...did you miss the memo that not all Radiohead fans have to be pretentious twats?

  • the best band!!!

  • Why didnt I hear about this when it came out??? I feel so lame

  • will you marry me, radiohead?

  • "Nervous messed up marionette

Floating around on a prison ship

    ...Dinosaurs roaming the earth "

    ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • musicianship is exellent??.....great.

  • a bit faster than the original, love it.

  • I love these guys!!! Finally, someone wrote a song about me. hahaha... I'm an Optimist. I love the beat and the whole arrangement in this song. AWESOME! Very brilliant!

  • what if radiohead would've done pablo honey and been out? been a one hit wonder and a twenty second clip on a vh1 show countdown. your life would've sucked, mine would've been slightly better but still very empty. just a thought. cause the convos underneath mine.

  • @brrnay thinking about that literally made my stomach drop

  • dont forget that nirvana had guitar, bass, drums, and cobain's effect pedals was nothing in front of greenwood's!

  • i love them!!!

  • Radiohead is the the '00s what Nirvana was to the '90s. Defining.

  • Radiohead were more defining than Nirvana. I'd rather listen to Pixies than Nirvana. Go have a listen to Ok Computer. I think you'll find Radiohead were miles ahead of Nirvana in 90's. Just my opinion :)

  • You're mising my point. more than half of Radiohead's albums were in the '00s and all Nirvana's were in the 90's.. I'm not comparing the two at all merely stating their influence overall in said decades and genres.

  • Ok I understand. There's no doubting Nevermind's influence in 90's. But equally you could argue that The Bends and Ok Computer had such a massive impact on soooo many bands.

  • This is true but I did say their specific genres aswell. Radiohead isn't a Grudge band and Nirvana an Alt Rock band. Nevertheless I own both Bands full catalogue because I love them both, never heard a Pixies song though, are they like Nirvana? And while we're at it what's your favourite RH album? For me it's a toss up betwixt The Bends and OK Comp.

  • Yeh good point. I mean they were simply just both massive bands in 90's. Well I think Kurt said jokingly he should have been a member of Pixies and that they heavily heavily influenced them...so yeh you should give them a listen. Def Ok Computer. No other album comes close for me. What other bands do u like form 00's? I love Arcade Fire and Grizzly Bear.

  • I grew very disinterested and disatisfied with music in general in the '00s. It was like the '80s all over again with music I loved being replaces the new romantics. But now it's Rap, fucking septics and this lady gagreflex or whatever his name is with writing teams of 20 people writing generic songs that have no meaning nor purpose other than to sound the same as the one before. I'm sorry I'm really dropping the tone I just hate americans and rap etc. the '00s haven't been all bad though.

  • I enjoy MUSE, they're like RH in their Kid A days. But my music taste is like most really broad, I like whatever appeals to me, y'know bits of this bits of that. There's really only 2 bands that I enjoy listening to EVERY song in their whoel catalogue and that's SOAD and Rammstein, not sure why I just like them all.

  • @Jorzbalzla Muse look like The Bends era, Muse definitely don´t have anything of Kid A ..

  • @Jorzbalzla You can't imagine Nirvana without the Pixies! They're essential to the alternative rock movement in the 90's. They simply laid the groundwork. And OK Computer is no doubt my favorite RH album

  • @Jorzbalzla OK Computer and In Rainbows are the best albuns

  • Yea, TBH Nirvana was defining for the 90's - but compared to the complexity of RH's music.. they are juvenile.

You look at the development from pablo honey to in rainbows.. and you are amazed

  • @hendrix142536 you cant compare nirvana to radiohead! they were only around from roughly 89 to 94! with only 3 major albums! of course there was no development for them, cobain fucking shot himself before that could happen! lol

  • @UBCS98 I was in no way compering Nirvana to RH... Nirvana has appealed to many.. but in a simplistic grunge way

hearing all radiohead's albums suggests that they have evolved.. from simple punk-ish music to complex and emotionally-inspiring music... my favorite band ever, awaiting the next album

  • @UBCS98 So what ? Radiohead´s first three albums happened to be The Bends and OK Computer ..

  • the best alternative band there is.. hands down...

  • I think In Rainbows is there most well balanced album. From start to finish it flows perfectly, so many differnt colours all brought together in one amazing vision. This isnt suposed to be a typicaly aloof radiohead comment, its just the way I feel.

  • OKC and Kid A are completely different pieces of music. Comparisons are futile. I personally like them both for totally different reasons. Both are the best of each decade.....

  • @1964go Great comment! Few agree with me, but OK Computer is (in my humble opinion) the best album of the 90´s. I´m no Radiohead fanatic, but I think it has a lot of diversity in sounds, and is very well constructed, mixing electronic with jazz and rock and other layers. And the lyrics in that album are magnificent. You can´t find lyrics as good as Radiohead´s in any other band. That´s definitely one of the strong points of Radiohead.

And In Rainbows is a 00´s masterpiece.

  • this the first music that has made me miss organized noise thanks radiohead!

  • the big fish eat the little ones...

  • OK computer pretty much is their best though in my oppinion...

  • What is it about this song that i keep coming back every single day to listen to it? Man, they kick ass with this live play!

  • That is what distinguishes a real band from all the others."live Play" (Corporatocracy Auto-Tone) is for the insane :) Peace

  • I PERSONALLY like OK Computer better than Kid A... but fuck, they are both stellar albums

  • Its ridiculous how good they are. like inhuman

  • You are a Fuc**** genius !!!!

  • "Kid A" Radiohead's best album!

  • absolutely

  • I disagree... OK Computer

  • i disagree... Kid A

  • @xavilacoste69

    Hail to the thief

    In rainbows

    The bends

    Amnesiac

    Ok computer

    Kid A

    Pablo honey

  • They don't have a best album because they're all the best album.

  • Finally someone say it with a Purpose !!! :) Peace

  • @lemoscouple

    not ur problem.

  • fuck you.

  • @lemoscouple all u can write? / anyway thom yorke is the greatest

  • dickjugglingthundercunt should be your username. go eat your your moms yeasty front.

  • at least he doesnt throw a wobbly when he fuks up haha, like some american prog underpants sporting ape singers.. whom I also like.. hur

  • go suck your father

  • are you gay?

  • well your mom didn't think so

  • my fav.

  • Mine too. They are such a fantastic band...

They're even fabulous LIVE. I love them.

  • i dont know how they do it but i hope they dont stop

  • I find astonishing how underrated Colin is. Listen to the bass groove of this song...It's so powerful, yet really groovy at the same time.

  • Yeah I know, listen to the basement version of where i end and you begin, he completely dominates that song.

  • I have been saying this all along :) Peace

  • You= Ignorant about music= No friends.

  • i dont have friends too =(

  • 0:00 to 4:36 was interesting

  • @Veckatimest65 oh thats clever grizzly bear lover, that portion of the song was the entire song

  • Thom is pure sex! Radiohead is king of the hill musically

  • I love Colin's facial expressions! And Thom Yorke just exudes awesomeness.

  • god damn the recording quality is so high in these vids, sounds like a fucking studio cut

  • how many songs did they play for this special? it must have lasted a couple hours. Wish I had seen it.

  • 9 songs. there's an upload of the whole set on youtube, just search "radiohead basement full".

  • I dont like how thom sounds like bob dylan on some verses...he should use the pipes god gave him

  • best band to ever be created..ever.

  • One of the few bands holding up the quality of modern music.

I wonder what happened since the times of Pink Floyd...

  • That's excactly what I always say...

Radiohead is one of the few bands that keeps creating awesome music... In Rainbows is excelent!

  • Brilliant band, brilliant song. The greatest Alt/ Indie band ever!!

  • The guitar at 1:30 sounds hauntingly beautiful. Amazing song live.

  • This is definitely one of my favorites from their Basement recordings. Great performance from Radiohead, even on the spot.

  • the best band in the world

  • very nice, I like the way they play around with the beats, experimenting with jazz and hip hop beats

  • Comment removed

  • Thats a magical little performance right there!

  • great raw footage, i like how the four have summoned the quad powers of fender

  • does yorke look clay akinish or does clay akin look like tom yorke

  • Yes. Depends how many tracks are on the album. Because the real answer is all of them. Except Pablo and about half of The Bends.

  • I really just can't believe how well all five work together and have progressed to this kind of technical mastery.

  • Its not really technical mastery. More like artistic mastery.

  • There aren't very many bands that gel quite as well when you actually sit and watch them in this setting. Try any of Jeff Buckley's live stuff as well. You see it there too but to a different extent.

  • it can take any other band 2 or 3 albums to finally get a real good song when radiohead cranks out at least 5 on each album..

  • i disagree. radiohead is able to make entire albums work. my personal favorite is Hail to the Thief and i can only listen to the entire album at a time =)

  • @oldskoolchomp Excluding Pablo Honey, You can find at least 8 good songs in each album ( OK Computer and In Rainbows are exception, every single song is good enough)

  • what i love about Radiohead is, that theyre average age is 40. yet their energy and their music seems to be a youthful age of 25 or so.

  • @tsteak9 they were formed in 1989, after studying music in Oxford(i hope i'm not mistaken), and all the energy you need comes either from the sun or from you.

  • Best band ever.................

  • yeah man, I have funky hair too. It adds some definition and character.

out of all the conversation an amazing tune like this could ignite and some dude's are talking about his fuckin' hair. PSHHHHHHHHHH...

  • Doesn't it just blow your mind that these 5school dudes just happened to all evolve musically at the same rate to become the most gifted band ever? Still wonder how on earth that happened...

  • Destiny,luck? Just pick one :P

  • We are the lucky ones to have them.

  • GREAT FUCKEN SONG!!!

  • Without doubt the best band in the world... Time for a new album isn't it?:-)

  • Yup, they've started recording a month ago. :D

  • seriously?

  • sweeeeeeet

  • That isn't a starcaster that Johnny's playing

  • Uhh yes it is...

  • @Flamesoffuel It´s a Telecaster Sunburst

  • @eazzy93 no it's not...it's a fender starcaster

  • 3 dollar haircut:priceless status

  • Dude Thom's hair is legit, don't call it a 3 dollar hair cut. I actually pretty much based my hair on his. Just less receding hairline :p Not trying to make fun of Thom, but I mean he's like 40 it's not surprising or embarrassing that he's losing some hair. I bet he spent way more mney on his hair than you did BigBishop1

  • Wonder how much Phil spends on his hair. lol

  • I love the lyrics to this song. People always under-estimate RH's political side

  • Johnny's solo at 2:23 is fucking awesome

  • _ME_iou

    wuf wuf

    O

  • They didn't even try the best they could, and it was definitely good enough to make me play it 3-4 times.

  • Subarashii! Ano Radiohead wa itchi ban!

  • AMAZIIIIING!!!!

  • Wow. It's cool how ed stops playing at 2:54 to make that wailing sound.

  • me gusta mas la version del disco

  • JONNYYYYYYYY
