I've watched several of your videos and I have to agree with what most of the other people say..you have a great outlook on tourettes and a positive enough attitude to deal with it instead of making it into something bad.You are a true inspiration to others that have to deal with this for sure.And,you're also a VERY pretty young lady and I'm sure, no doubt fun to be around as well.Thank you for posting these vids and teaching others about this at the same time.You ROCK girl!!!

I have a slightly different POV. For me, Tourette's DOES include random, loud extremely embarassing swearing. I hit myself, I jerk so much I can barely walk at times. And idiots at school love to laugh when they think I can't hear. But they're just that, idiots. I do not exactly appreciate people who fuel ignorance about TS. I do appreciate people who speak out about the truth, like you lotz of curlz, but in my opinion, mockery doesn't help. It does a lot worse to people than swearing.

Lol there are two separate issues here. I agree that people should not take themselves too seriously, and that shows such as south park create discussions about the topic, which is important. That being said, if someone gets ripped on for having tourettes, it's not necessarily because of self-loathing. It is inherent within us to form packs with similar people. I am doing a little bit of research on Tourettes, and I was looking for some examples on YT to help me get a better understanding. I found it frustrating running into some of the vids that made fun. And a few times, I couldn't really tell if they were real or just a few buddies looking for an excuse to yell bad things out loud. So from my POV, it is really annoying, all the fake videos. Looking forward to watching some more of your singing. I love your voice!

I've found that many of those comments against the TS jokes say, "I know someone with TS and that's upsetting..." - well, I have TS and I usually like them. When I don't like them, it's because I didn't find it funny, not for being offensive.

I totally agree with you, what you feel toward yourself influences what others feel about you, just like how awkwardness is only what you make it.

And I do find a lot of the tourette's videos to be funny, except in the case of the "tourettes guy" videos, where I can't stand the stereotyping, but like you said, I don't have to watch this videos.

i know it's good to raise awareness, but i think it's easier to have people telling the actual facts to those who will listen rather than giving a false show of ts, cause it's harder to change what they already know than teach them new things.

Out of all the disabilities Id say tourette's is the worst when people make fun of you. They are scared of the extra actions but people need to be more fun in life. Videos that make fun of Tourette's may spread awareness of the existence of TS, but they also spread stereotypes as well. If it wasn't for all the videos that make fun of TS depicting almost solely coprolalia, I wouldn't really have a problem with them.

Its not funny it is tragic. Simply because in the real world Touretts is crippling and excludes you from the conventional world in many ways . It is a handicap. Does South Park make fun of Downs syndrome? I don't know. Maybe it has. The truth is that Touretts is not funny to me . I can't think of anything fun about it. Making fun of people is a gesture of antagonism ; it is a kind of frustration release. The people who are really funny are the sados who pull apart people with disabilities.
