  • Somebody divided by zero.

  • A dead planet is considered to be frozen, without any signs of bacterial life, athmosfere, gases or seismic activity. This planet has the latter.

  • @Shicbs Have you ever seen a planet blowing up ? -__-

The title of the video is off a tutorial by Andrew Kramer. No creativity in this, and no realism for sure, just something nice to see.

  • pop!

  • heehee was this made with a calculator

  • lol... thats just shatter effect and that is all it is....

  • that was so lame its not even funny actualy it is -_-

  • GREAT ANIMATION. Keep up the good work. I'm new to 3ds Max and want to learn it. Maybe one day I will be able to create something as good as this!!

  • @xXStevieGillenXx its made with after effects

  • this sucks. it looks like lego pieces broke off.

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • @Raymanrabbidsgirl099 Thanks man !

But could have been much better if i had the time...

  • Chuck Norris get's angry and this happens

  • pop

  • ITs going great until the explosion ...

  • blowing is unprofessional

  • is it just me or does the planet crevices remind you of the joker from batman.

  • LOL i didnt know planets blew up like glass XD

  • lol

  • Cool! 8D

  • The Plantet looked amazing but i didnt really like the exsploseion better look next time 4/5

  • OMG THE EARTH!...... Lego Planet! :l

  • WTF BRICKS?

  • Thats not bricks.. :S Thats glass..

  • ta planeta byla z klockow lega?

  • can you reply to this as soon as possible, i have my own dead planet and i'm still trying to find out one thing. Where do you get the explosion effect which heppens when the planet errupts, i mean the glowing explosion by the way (so you dont get confused)

  • Do you mean the "fire effect" ?

In this case, i used one of "Action Movie Essential" by Andrew Kramer, But maybe you could make one yourself, with Particular or CC Particle World...

    Good Luck !

  • Sorry, it's the best render you can have with After Effects.

    (At Least at my level)

  • fake.

  • I hope you are fucking ironic man!

  • Hi may I know where you got the background?

  • hey niiiice dude, i did the same thing if you check out my profile you can see it, i want to ask, how did you get teh 'camera' to pan around the planet because that looks better than the one andrew kramer made, awesome nice job. peace!

  • Thank you very much ^^

I didn't use a camera, because the planet isn't in 3D (After effect doesn't work in 3D) but in 2D, so if you use a camera, you'll see a pancake and not a sphere ^^. I just used the "Position" tool to move the planet, as it was in orbit.

  • ah yeah my bad, i remember, its not 3d its just the texture map and CC sphere that give it the illusion, well ill be sure to use the position tool, i want it to look as good as yours, peace man!

  • Exactly.

Hope you will get it !

  • where did you get the background? or what is the name of it?

  • I'm so checking out that site. Is there a way to do it in PhotoShop or GIMP???

  • I'm sure there is a way to do it in photoshop but i don't know gimp at all so i cannot help you.

maybe you should download the project files and try to adapt all the manipulations in photoshop...

  • I'll just look up on how to do it in PS.

  • best one that i found ever

    but the explosion wasant

5/5 for the awesome planet texture

  • Thank you very much ! I know the explosion isn't very Nice but i spent a lot of time on planets and that was boring me ;)

  • Did you use a map of Venus as the source texture? It would be cool to have sound effects here.

  • sweet first 1 ive seen with gravity
