Great video. I've never seen one of those machines, how cool. I wonder if you used a needle from a fine gauge knitter if it would work better than one from a standard bed. I realize neither is the correct needle for it, but I wonder if the fine gauge needle would get through the knitting easier.
It would probably work but would the thicker yarn fit in the needle hook? I've never seen a fine gauge needle so I don't know how much difference there is in size compared to a standard gauge needle.

That is cool! Do you like this or your linker better? Is there much of a difference between the two as far as what the finished work looks like?

I like using the Seam Maker simply because it is a vintage machine and it's satisfying to be able to use a machine that's older than me.
The Hague Linker gives a much straighter seam so it looks neater. With practice the Seam Maker could probably give a straighter seam.
