  • nice but it's a hornet

  • watch?v=0BIsGZ4f7zo new s25 schwinn vid very nice. check it out.

  • Yup.. Looks right except for the sproket. Not sure if they still used the skipthooth up to 52

  • Did the horn have the original Ray-O-Vac Batteries?:)

  • did you check the numbers on it they are on the left side in the back next to the axle you can go on line and it will tell you the year it was built and what model it is. i have a 1962 super deluxe hornet 26 inch and it looks just like yours but the colors.- im quite sure a 1952 has bigger chain links the sprocket looks like every other tooth is missing on the 50s bikes and they have wider rims i feel strongly yours is from the 60s

  • now thats a bike!..

  • i just through one away are theys expensve bikes

  • Its not a phantom, it has the same body style but it is not the real deal. This is a regular schwinn with some phantom style parts. You cant say otherwise because it has a small schwinn plate in the front instead of the large one, if it was a real phantom there would be no way the plate would fit because it is too small. You probably have a schwinn hornet.

  • how much for tha bike

  • drool drool drool. i love this bike. so cool.

  • I love the horn lol

  • @bestamerica read the description this was the first day he took it home and now it's fully restored

  • Holy Moly what a neat bike!

  • nice bike but rust,,,

try cleaning with fine steel wool

  • how much did you pay for your bike?

    are you selling yours?

  • I've always wanted to know what a horn sounded like on one of those bikes. HAHA thanks for someone finally pushing the button so I know!

  • All horns are different. My '47 Hawthorne sounds like a Classic VW Bug!

  • You schould put a kit from zoombicycle on it.They are motor 80cc kit 109$ have a look to there site.

  • can you post a picture of how it looks now? id like to see it

  • This is not a Phantom: The color scheme is wrong, it has a 9 hole rack carrier (the original Phantom has a 4 hole with tail ligth) The sprocket isn't for Phantom and the front fender hasn't the Phantom light.

  • @sergioroverscout

You are exactly correct! Bolt goes THROUGH the front fork, not behind the front fork as in 1952. (this style allow room for the key lock) It is a put together pee wee want-to be bike. BUT...Some of the parts on it DO have value, but not as currently but together! (It is about 10 different years of bikes into one.) I'm a Bike Collector from KANSAS since 1984.

  • Dang how much did you get for?

  • i have the same bike..same bike as me except i have a rolling rock version promo bike

  • nice bike burn teh streamers

  • Wow...Thats in really nice shape for day 1. Nice Score!

  • Wrong or right, restored or not, that's a sweet bike!!

  • This video was actually the day that I dragged it home. It had flat tires, and a ton of wrong parts. All of the correct parts I purchased were re-chromed, and installed, and it looks pretty sweet. I will have to post a new video of what it looks like now.

  • it dosen't have the Schwinn Typhoon Chord tires either, if you want it to be a complete Phantom you need to get all the Phantom custom factory parts which is a hassle to find even on eBay!

  • awesome

  • sweet

  • Wrong parts or not; she looks SWEET!!!

  • that is not the right sprocket or spring forks or the rigt color and it has wrong grips.

  • Yea the bike came with alot of wrong parts when I got it from the antique store, but as of now, most of the correct parts have been reinstalled to put it back to it's original condition.

  • awsome

  • Nice schwinn- I have a 1973 red shwinn continental and(my favorites) a few J C Higgins out of the 1950's.

  • it looks alot like a schwinn phantom model J29 just the color is wrong

  • paints all wrong for a phantom. there should be scallops on the tubes. springers were also painted same color as bike with triangles and the seat post tube had a diamond, but it is a nice bike none the less.

  • not phantom-schwinn new bike to look old

  • I agree that is not an original Phantom. The spocket teeth on the original Phantoms were spaced.

  • sa date de jesus christ se truc

  • You gotta love schwinn. Built with style. Built to last.

  • Nice bike, but I don't think that it is a Phantom.

  • Oh it's a Phantom. It just has the Phantom Sticker removed, and some of the parts are not correct, but it's a Phantom.

  • enjoy it and have fun, looks nice i wish i had one

  • @rhsxo nice i need oneof thosee
