What's up ! I'm a 22 year old rapper from Canada and I just uploaded my first 2 tracks ever. I'm not the typical fag ass rapper that's only talking about swag, cash and bullshit like that. In fact, I usually talk about everyday life because I'm a normal dude like you. I ain't begging you to come check out my channel, just do if you want. Thanks.
I see yall like that real hip hop! lol check out my music on my page you'll definitley find some good music, bless you all and i hope to make fans from each one of you.
I agree that rap today is sending the message all about MONEY THIS MONEY THAT. I miss all the old school rap. Because they were talking about real life. And They told stories. Its sad that the rap game came to where it is now. But Scarface will always be a legend and his music is still bumped by me. And im from New Orleans.
Yeah that's the difference G!. Scarface has a brain and he's from the street, like all good rappers, cos that's what it rap is, modern day blues about the black man's woes. The integrity of it earned it it's popularity and then it changed into a poser's parade. Blues from the 20s and 30s and real rap, same function, think about it! Just different style and instruments and technology. Hey anyone think he looks like James "Lights Out" Toney? Another OG...haha.
The beat, lyrics, and video all go together. You can just imagine everything in your head as he is rapping. You got the old Marvin Gaye Chorus and beat in the background. Dang no one making music like this everyone on how much money they spent in the mall, and the dudes more concerned with buying clothes and how tight there pants fit them. I wish my son would come out the house with some skinny leg jeans on. I would beat him like James beat JJ
Damn this song is way too real for rappers today, none are trying to emulate scarface, everybody wants to be lil wayne, and dance all day. I thank god for this era of rap, so i can always go back to it and say, Yea, this is wht rap use to be. My daughter will definately no more about ol school, the hell with rap today
man i knw watchu sayin but black on black violence has been goin on since the times of man the seed was planted bak in africa b.c the seed yu are talking about is more like the seed that started publicizing black on black crime
its not just the violence its the imaging as well....the image of how a black man/woman should look like talk like etc etc.....theres alot of hidden messages in main stream hip hop
@bookert1982 I really hope u don't believe that. The 90's was a continuance of the Reagan administration allowing drugs to come into the country and putting a stop to after school programs. Rappers from that era were just describing how that affected them. Before you start blaming rap from the 90's, you need to look at what escalated the problem during that time instead of assuming rappers were just rapping just to have something violent to say.
@phesterjr Exactly, they didn't rap about what they rapped about out of fantasy. Like a lot of music, it's commentary, a mirror of what goes on at the time. You could say hard-core rap came about because Niggaz wanted to get stuff of their chest, they rapped about that stuff cos that's all that went on in their lives! You wonder why rappers rap about violence? You try going to school (if at all) with a metal detector at the front gate to keep the guns out....
@ybon003 I agree wit you. And second, I actually like the aggressive emcees that talked about real shit. Somebody like Rick Ross & Lil Wayne are puppets. They glamourize material shit. I can't say I have ever heard either of them come with anything gritty. None of them talk about losing a friend 2 violence (mind u Lil Wayne supposed to be a Blood). None of them talk about doing time in jail or @ the least having a close friend locked up. And mainstream actually praises these motherfuckers???
Scarface will always be one of the GREATEST!! His muzik will make you think DEEP.One of the best MC to come outta the South,And Paved The way for newcomers Along with Geto Boys
I won't be bothering with you ass wipes because I've got to round up a lot of guys. We'll be doing the world a service Pedophiles don't deserve to be sucking wind and there are a lot of you to find. I know where 3 of you are and I found out pretty quick. Two are in the U.S. and One is in Canada . :-) Have a good day puke Did you know Omegaman990 is a didler? (Pedophile)
Why cant producers still make beats like these whats wrong with sampling? Everyone tries to make their own beats and the shit fails everytime with this new down south popcorn fruity loop bullshit
it's because the artists who are sampled ask for a certain percentage of profits and money from the song on an album. the key is to sample obscure artists who are less likely to ask for royalties.
Joe Budden used the same Marvin sample for his 'Who Killed Hip Hop' trilogy.
