  • Great review! I'm a V1 Zombie, but the redline looks impressive!

  • Can the Escort Redline maintain it's maximum effectivness if it's mounted high on the windshield (like the Valentine V1 can)?

  • @if6was929 Sure you can mount any detector high, but I don't recommend it. I recommend mounting your detector low as you will increase your chances of detecting laser and the few inches moving down will have no noticeable effect on radar

  • I finally ordered one of these, Radar Roy is the Radar Guru!

  • its almost the end of 2011 is it still undetected now?

  • @ARXChrono Yes, the Spectre is not going to able to detect in the future.

  • The RedLine has amazing off-axis detection.

  • Thanks!

  • Great video roy!

  • like

  • Redline, the best.

  • I like it

  • cool

  • nice range on this unit

  • Escort is the best, great for commercials.

  • great

  • this one of my top choices

  • undetectability with GPS would be great,

  • if they integrated the range and the undetectability of the redline with the GPS of the IQ, we would have something simply amazing.

  • I like the idea of not being seen

  • Redline is the best in his class.

  • the redline is cool

  • An amazing detector at sniffing out Ka Band

  • Stealth, cool

  • 100% Undetectable = SICK.

  • I really need one of these

  • Perfect detector for where I live (Virginia). Thanks so much for the review RadarRoy!

  • Got to love it!

  • I am definitely getting this during TAX time. I am so sick and tired of unmarked police cars targeting everyday drivers like myself just so they can eat the money. I understand that we all have drive safe. There is too many police cars everywhere i am sick of it. the ESCORT will be perfect for me as I am always driving to work. You never know who is around the corner. THUMBS UP....

  • Im soooo buying one tomorrow.... NO MORE IMPOUNDING FOR MY CBR1000RR RESPOL ! :D

  • best site ever great info on products

  • How good does this detector work when police forces around the country are installing scarecrows everywhere?

  • @notakike Ok, wtf is a scarecrow?

  • @radarroy Scarecrows are miniature radar transmitters which simulate police radar broadcasts on various bands. These transmitters create false alarms on radar detectors in private vehicles, thereby indirectly reducing driving speeds to the legal limit.

Scarecrows have a range of more than one mile and are battery powered and charged by solar cells. The are DOT operated and can be switched on and off.

  • @notakike Thanks, been in this industry forever and never heard a drone referred to as a scarecrow

  • would be nice to have one of these lined up across the windshield with what I have already.

  • digging the red interface too

  • very cool detector

  • It must be tough not having one if you're travelling all the time in trucks in those damn states where it's all illegal. It's almost like escort knows everything that we all want.

  • very nice the range is incredible

  • I love the Redline!

  • Keepin our right to use the road

  • Nice recomendation Roy, "if you live where radar detector is illegal i recommend the redline" lol u r awesome

  • great review Roy! Redline is great

  • I'll stick with my V1

  • Only a few more days until your contest!!!

  • Very nice. I wish there was a EU version with segmented Ka band...

  • nice

  • I would love the IQ if it was stealth and they allowed you to connect to a smart phone and share your real time data with others. It is one thing to have speed traps marked, it is another to know if someone was radar-ed just ahead of you two minutes ago. Passport needs to improve their statistic analysis on a locations to see if it detects a false signal. Some places turn door openers off at night and some highways have monitors, and I don't want to sacrifice sensitivity or alert time.

  • V1 Patent expires soon so we will watch

  • @radarroy Have you heard anything from Escort regarding the expired V1 patent?

  • Hope they come out with a redline with arrows!!!!!

  • Amazing radar detector!

  • Dear Escort,

Please give us a stealth GPS radar detector, like a spectre proof passport IQ, or SmartMirror rearview mirror. I would even be happy with a spectre proof 9500IX. I love my 9500CI but I want to portability of a dashmount too! You guys are so close to perfection but always fall a little short. I wont hold my breath on this but I will keep my fingers crossed.

    Thanking you in advance,

    An Enthusiast.

  • Roy is the shit... He'll reply to every email you send him

  • @rlt23 Even to YouTube Comments

  • See! No one could do a better job then Radar Roy. I trust him 110%

  • Nice to understand the diff between the Redline and 9500ix.

Have you done a comparison between the STi and Redline?

  • @izimmm Yes, the Redline has a little bit more sensitivity

  • Thanks for comparing the Redline to the 9500ix... VERY HELPFUL!

  • Cool!
