  • that wee

  • thumbs up for wheatley and other cores coming out of the vent at 0:12!!!

  • Hahaha "wee~"

  • They never used that mechanic even once

  • @hummbug72 It never made it in because it wasn't very easy to combine it with all the other mechanics, and the puzzles involving it would have been pretty much the same. They did use the effect on the moon, though :3

  • thats not in the game

  • @WarriorXenomorph no shit dude

  • thumbs up if u saw wheatly!

  • @carolinagirl111000 no,but when and where?

  • Perfectly good trailer. Wasted.

  • the same data code used for these was used for the moon scene at the end.

SPACE CORE: Dad, I'm in space!

DAD: I'm proud of you son.

SPACE CORE: Dad, are you space?

DAD: Yes, son. Now we are a family again.

  • @MetaNiteFM what?

  • It was kept for the part where you destroy the neurotoxin generator, it really wasn't that useful, but I'll be damned if tearing the wall off didn't look cool. I wonder if they at least left the functionality in the game so that map creators could still use it and if it could be included in the coming DLC (make maps with the little cartoony isometric thingie as shown at the start of these vids), users could probably create some really good puzzles with this stuff, no matter how useless it seems.

  • 0:21 WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • where can I buy it?

  • ya know... at first I was kinda upset to not see this in the game... but then I stopped typing: " the vent is a lie! " and thought for a moment... what actual testing potential will this bring to the game. all it really does is make turrets a moking joke. so really. I'm kinda GLaD. so I've stop typing a dumb over used phase and type something important. think about it.

  • Portal: The cake is a lie.

Portal 2: The pneumatic Diversity Vent is a lie.

    Simple.

  • OP?

  • should we expect a DLC soon? :P i would love LOVEE THAT

  • I want to use them...and fucking suck Wheatley up. It woulda saved me a hell lota time.

  • @clubpenguintvization YOU MONSTER!!! WHEATLEY FOREVERRR <3~ even though he tried to kill me... Hey, now I know how GLaDOS feels!

  • It is in the game ,but unused in the maps

Download a Custom map and you can play with it

  • Wish these would've made it.

  • i think they saw the moon sucking up them and thought 'time to make objects that can get sucked up

  • lol

  • so, since someone had to say it

THE PNEUMATIC DIVERSITY VENTS IS A LIE!!!

  • thumbs if you saw wheatley

  • @thepugdog101 lol, no thumbs ups

  • i cant believe they didnt add this!

  • when I see a commercial I close the fucking video

  • they shoulda kept it in the game.

  • "'Passive Monitoring' in vent ensures objects in vent are identified, but never judged"

    lmao

  • This level loOks cool , but its Damn TOo easy , and that's why it didn't make it thru Beta ><

  • Why weren't these in the game?

  • @cloverkong no problem solving involved in these

  • @cloverkong They were. They just weren't used for test chambers.

  • @cloverkong they are at the game when wheathley helps you to turn off the neurotoxing :D

  • @cloverkong it would probably make the make the game to easy

  • @cloverkong The Pneumatic Diversity Vent was cut from testing in Portal 2 after playtesters had issues with its use in gameplay, as well as Valve deciding that it didn't have much use other than eliminating turrets.

  • @cloverkong pc servers

  • @cloverkong unless iz in da update

  • @cloverkong They are in co-op.

  • I quote Valve in a Game Informer interview. "We never throw away good ideas." :)

  • DLC, guys. there is hope yet!

  • @stormtrooper789 yes :D

  • Wish this made it out of beta.

  • Shame this didnt make it :( dlc please valve!

  • why didnt they include these types of things?

  • why did i never have played this kinda maps , those rock :D i love this map

  • is this in SDK?

  • 1:14 Hel-AHHHHHH

  • I hope they make some DLC with this in it. it's awesome!

  • 0:19 Wheeeeeeeeeee!

  • @TheGingerlicious Correction: 0:20

  • @Aidee21618 shut up

  • lol

  • I'm glad they left it out. Its kind of annoying.

  • only on coop

  • Poor turrets.

  • You can still make it in the SDK. So if you wanna play it, Make such a map.

  • i can see why they'd remove it but it looks like so much fun =(

  • They didnt completely take out the diversity vents because its in Portal 2 authoring tools beta

  • they should make a third or a REALLY big dlc with this

  • When I played the campaign on xbox 360 I couldn't find any of these.

    Does anyone know why???

  • @jimbob926 They removed it since it had no real use in the end. So the vents were just used to transport stuff.

  • doooo

  • LOL at 1:02 it sounds like they're screaming TROOOOLLLL!!!!!

  • @Pyrus335 And I swear that one of the mumbled "Troll'd Bitch!"

  • that would have been awesome

  • idk about the vents, but i really like the room designs. maybe its because i haven't played there before, but they looked different than the ones in portal 2. had a different feel.

  • @StandardsofTLC its also a word in the english dictionary....

  • I hope these are in a DLC pack. They look like fun

  • Fuck the vents I shoot at the moon

  • 1:09 wheeeNOOOO! lol

  • *Grabs a door and puts a portal on it*

    *places portal under Vent*

    good bye mailman!!

  • wat r u guys talking about? these vents are in the game, but u just ride them and not shoot portals uder them and watever

  • "Whee!"

  • im pretty sure they replaced these with the swirly teleporter thingy

  • There aren't any Diversity Vents used in any of the test chambers but the vents do appear in-game as a means to move the story foward.

The one vent I remember off the top of my head was the tube you and Wheatley get sucked up into near the start of the game after turning off the Neurotoxin.

  • @CallofDutyMan7187 The comment is a lie

  • i dont remember seeing these in the campaign or co-op?

  • i want this from my room to my school so i dont have to ride that damn annoying bus.

but, since its the summer, I dont have to worry about it

  • Aw I wish this was in the game.

There's so much more that could have been done other then sucking up turrets.

Especially using the fluids and other objects.

  • Hello there...

    Wheee~

  • Hello... AAAHH!

  • They really should of included these that would have been epic.

  • Pneumatic Diversity Vent + Wheatly = :D

  • why is the portal yellow?

  • @UnrealRaw should have been, but dinosaurzez is right

  • Valve cut this out because they couldn't find any good uses for it other than to suck up turrets

  • @omgguy1234567891 they could have used it for cube and button puzzles....

  • read portal 2 the final hour and you'll see why it wasn't in the game :)

  • @UnrealRaw it wasn't removed... only that it doesn't appear in the puzzles

  • Fucked up trailer!

You can't say that this will be in the game, and then leave it out!

    That's fraud

  • Anyone who's got the Lunacy achievement will realise that while the vent itself didn't make it in, part of the concept certainly did. "A portal that sucks enemies through it to dispose of them."

  • @ChibaNoHa *SPOILERS*

Or on the one level where you and wheatley are trying to shut down GLaDOS'S neurotoxin emmiters and then you and wheatley get sucked into one of those same pipes.

  • those por turrets, never saw it coming.

incidentally, i'd fine this more fun if you can get sucked in too :D

  • I think they left it in the code for the modders.

  • it would be fun to create black holes :3

  • why not use that to escape aperture

  • @TheJedimanman123 might go to an incenerator

  • @bingo518 oh it does

  • Could've been great in co-op.

  • WHHEEE!

    0:21

  • Aww... I wish this was in the game! :(

  • maybe it will be in the dlc?

  • Too bad they removed it. I would love to use it at least once

  • Comment removed

  • WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!

  • THE DIVERSITY VENT IS A LIE

  • @iLaraGamer Maybe in the dlc this september :D

  • i want it in the game!

  • @UnrealRaw hopefully theyll have it in dlc

  • they need to make it into a DLC

  • 1:13 hello- ahhhhhhh

  • I would find it hilarious if this was included in the game and there was an achievement for it.

    Achievement Unlocked

    :Yes, Hard Feelings:

Suck 5 or more Turrets in a Tube At One Time.

    15g

  • Seems like they didn't include this in the game because the funnels did about the same thing and were a bit more versatile. Could be wrong.

  • Thumbs up if you saw wheatley exiting the vent in the beginning at 0:15

  • The ending was funny.

  • zomg r u serious?! this is awesome.

i rly rly rly hope Valve will make extra content for the game

  • Too bad this wasn't in the game :'(

  • Just like the cake, this is a total lie.

  • All this screaming of those sucked up and dying turrets... breaks my heart >':

  • So this would have been used for killing turrets and...........?

  • @thisismypasswordlol Thats it, killing turrets, thats why it wasnt included in the final game

  • 1:27 LOL

  • @UnrealRaw It so should have been. >.>

  • Either these were are the new cake, or they are curently located in space.

  • turret: weeeeee!!!

  • never saw this in the real game...

  • I hate Valve. They deprioritize and gut anything that's not related to TF2 hats. They also are TERRIBLE to their customers and dont understand the idea of "Community wants X, stop giving us Y". Seriously, stop half-assing all your games and include everything you wanted. your games are already amazing, imagine if you managed to fit all of your content into them for once?

  • This portal gun is more like the one in the first game, too. Hrmmm.

  • 1:13

    hel- ahhh

  • I think they removed this from the final game due to the limited number of applications it had in puzzles.

  • @dinosaurzez it could have been used to get a cube or sphere to a place while avoiding that energy grill thing.

  • @Christmasproductions but if there was one blocking the room, you cant shoot portals through it

  • @dinosaurzez Actually, they removed it because they didn't finish it in time. It has plenty of uses for puzzles if you include the "out" side of the tube as well as an "in". (remember the co-op puzzle where you turned the tube by slamming into the button? Now apply that to a more complex tube system where you're constantly turning tubes; they can "catch" cubes flying through the air or drop them in various places depending on how they're set up)

  • @dinosaurzez According to an interview, they said it was just because it wasn't fun.

  • @IronTalos Well i thought it looked fun! Espicially if the player could get sucked into it.

  • @dinosaurzez but at the end, the portal to the moon and then this... isn't that same as this ?

  • @TheTrustyRapist lol there a glitch in that part i put an orange portal on the floor under wheatly then i was like what would happen if i put a orange one on the moon so i did it and the game gave me two orange portals :D

  • @trilo55 Actually, It's not a glitch. Valve put that in on certain parts so that the game would be a little more forgiving if you use the wrong portal by mistake. It's in the boss battle, and I've also heard it's at the beginning of Chapter 9: The Part Where He Kills You, at Wheatley's trap.

  • @dinosaurzez It could have been more puzzle like if some could suck you in, or if some of them blew instead of sucked *thats what she said* and you could get thrown into the air and push around turrets. Or if you got sucked into one you would die.

  • @dinosaurzez That may be so, but it would still be satisfying as hell.

  • @ShadePureheartX I know I hate the turrets!

  • @dinosaurzez To say they have removed the idea and effects of it completely, well, that would be lunacy.

  • @dinosaurzez no they had it, it was in like the first 5 levels. you also used it to get to glados

  • @dinosaurzez oh whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • @UnrealRaw This is what eventually became Excursion Tunnels. Far more useful and far less easy to abuse. That last room he cleared of turrets with 2 portals and no real skill.

  • @kv7T

VERY BAD "cough" even bevor the game was relesed the DLC's have been pland .... sounds a bit like Sims 2/3 ....

  • Weeeeeeeeeee!

  • Am I missing something? Because I've beat the game, but I never saw any of these nor a lot of the levels in the trailers.

  • @robodog12345 They were cut form the final game because the onyl use they had was to get rid of turrets.

  • for real, i can't emagine that this would be in any DLC. it would be a bad gameplay element. that's the reason why they left it out, i think. because they haven't made any good puzzles with it.

  • They probably didn't finish the dynamics for these(I mean, they have to animate tiles ripping off and everything!). This will most likely be in the DLC.

  • Hopefully they will put this in dlc

  • Was this actually in the game? because I don't remember using these at all

  • what the shit this isnt even in the game

  • @CoolCatAccount Well that's good. For xbox.

  • @kv7T It's valve, it's bound to be free. For everyone except xbox.

  • Thumbs up if Valve made the sole mistake of not including this in Portal 2

    @kv7T Veery subtle

  • they didnt add it because it ws buggy and made things too easy and hard at annoying points.

  • It is not in the game :(

  • i actually kinda wish this was in the game.its woulve been funny to hear all those turrets to "weeeeeeeeeeeeee!"lol

  • this trailer is a lie!!

  • @Hudson21Nguyen is this not in the game?

  • The vent is a lie......

  • 0:00 skip the ad

  • WHEEEEEEE~

  • Damn Valve lied to me.

  • Why did they get dropped?

  • how come this was not implemented in the game?
