  • I still say "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead".

    :)

  • When you think about it, your funeral is pretty much you're last party. I look at funerals as a celebration of someone's life, and regardless of religious affiliation, a person's eulogy should be an ode to their life. So at my funeral, I will not be in body, for I will be cremated and dusted into the sea; I would probably want:

Dead Puppies, by Dr. Demento. LOL< heh, that's kinda morbid. But the song actually is pretty reflective towards my sense of humor and style / dark humor and the like

  • "San Francisco Dreaming" By Benni Benassi!

  • Say goodnight not goodbye -Beth nielson Chapman

  • no rain by blind melon

  • sam is your friend single?.............

  • *spell check* desciosion- decision

  • that would be a VERY hard desciosion. i think i would pick a song thats not on the radio, that way my family wouldnt hear it everyday basically. i would also pick a up-beat song. that way its not all sad and emo[[not saying emo is bad!!!]]...umm..soo it would be a tie between, my favorite fast song and my favorite song with a good message..

  • my song would prbably have 2 B "I REMEMBER" by MR.criminal

  • time of your life by green day... very interesting question...

  • -Through the Valleys

    -Auriel's Ascension

    Calmest music I ever heard.

  • My song would be 3 doors down - It's not my time because even when I die I won't show fear and I'll look back at all my dreams and the people I've met in my life and realised how much they meant to me and how they kept me going.

  • your love is the place where i come from, by teenage fanclub -

  • Definetely VNV Nation - Further

  • I'm so glad no one has answered "blah blah blah from Final Fantasy whatever"!

    For me, it's a 5-way tie between:

    Journey - Don't Stop Believin'

    Aerosmith - Janie's Got a gun

Carrie Underwood - Before He cheats

Groucho Marx - Hello, I must Be Going

Sir Mix-A-Lot - Baby got Back

Maybe I can find the right DJ to meld them into one 6-minute masterpiece?

    :P

    -when im gone:eminem

and a bunch of other stuff thats too much to put on here

  • go into the water by deathklok/or highway to hell

  • highway to hell acdc

  • hey thats my answer, fucker lol

  • mine would definitely be Videotape by Radiohead. the song is all piano, which I play, and it just sounds kind of somber. Plus, the lyrics are completely perfect for a funeral.

"This is my way of saying goodbye because I can't do it face-to-face I'm talking to you before...No matter what happens now, you shouldn't be afraid because I know today has been the most perfect day I have ever seen."

  • You're Missing - Bruce Springsteen

  • At Your Funeral-Saves The Day

  • Minerva - Deftones

  • life is beautiful-sixx am

  • Indestructible-Disturbed

  • fade to black

  • caress me down - sublime

  • "wake me up before you go go"

i don't even like the song

i'd just play it at my funeral to creep everybody out.

  • We Will Rock You by Queen

  • Thundercats theme song plz

  • hahahahha Zacks

  • I've thought about this a lot and it changes a lot...but that is a great segue into my choice: "Turn, Turn, Turn" by the Byrds, but really written by Solomon.

  • another one bites the dust - by Queen

  • "fun fun fun" by the beach boys

  • I want an Irish wake and them to play "The Night That Paddy Murphy Died" :P :P :P :P

  • '1000 Beautiful Things' - Annie Lennox.

  • Down "bury me in smoke"

  • "let it be" 'BEATLES'

  • lol HEY JUDE

  • I wouldn't want my funeral to be somber, everyone hates depressing funerals, especially me. The only song I can think of would be

    "Finnegan's Wake" by the Dubliners.

  • I thought about this for a while and one that came to mind immediately is by The Who: Can You See the Real Me? and the other would be would Clockworkforest said with Monty Python's Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.

  • No doubt about it: Limbonic Art - Deathtrip to a mirage asylum

Reason why: they get the intro to sob to, then a powerful reminder about what kind of music i like. I'll just throw in the first verse of it, as the lyrics are somewhat relevant:

Life is deceiving while death is revealing

The mystic forces in the soul

Mind is receiving the certain dark feeling

The murderous sources of the ghoul

Nice and dark, eh? ^^ Symphonic black metal, along with viking metal my main music passion for years

  • somewhere over the rainbow ..orrrrr amsterdam by cold play

  • "Riot" By Three Days Grace cause its my song and i want it to remind ppl that i aint given up even in death

  • Sorry it's not a video, so you may not see this, but it would definitely be 'Adagio for Strings'

  • "Life is a Cabaret" !

  • MORTAL KOMBAT!

while it plays lasers and strobe lights are flashing... then Sub Zero and Johnny Cage start fighting

  • and i am serious that Mortal Kombat will be the song... just like Alvin, Simon & Theodore will be the names of my 3 sons

  • ZOMG Michey <3 you crazy monkey!

  • ;D it would be the BEST funeral of the decade!

  • hahaha for sure.

  • Awesome question... and one is that so difficult to answer. Right now, I'm hooked on the song "Everybody's Someone" by Leanne Rimes & Brian McFadden. I love the message, one that is fitting for a funeral I think. And to go alone with the song, I'd to have this inscription: "lived a good life... and inspired others to do the same." :-)

  • Nice man. I saw this at a glande first and thought it said Bobby Mcferrin... I was waiting to see "don't worry be happy" which is just down right wrong for a funeral!

  • in this river = zakk wylde

  • "Remember Me" by Reverend Horton Heat! In spirit of cultural anthropology, I will also be offering small portions of my brain for consumption by my funeral guests.

  • did you see the video response from mypinkelephants? instantly made me think of you.

    also awesome Love the rev!

  • Brilliant! Now your next query, if you plan to continue with this epic right of passage soundtrack, should be: what song would you want to dance to at your wedding? Lame, I know, especially from an anti-wedding person like myself, but it always yields some interesting responses.

  • So Close and Yet So Far

    and

It's Not Easy To Be Me (Superman) by FiveForFighting

  • Seize The Day, by Avenged Sevenfold

  • Kaze wa Mirai ni Fuku (The Wind Blows to the Future) by AKIMA & NEOS

  • leave out all the rest - linkin park

    definetely

  • Micheal Bublé - Lost

  • The Foreshadowing Furnace - Dimmu Borgir

Never could there be a more fitting song for my funeral.

  • Nature Boy - Frank Sinatra version

  • The Power of Goodbye-- Madonna

  • I took a death and dying soc. class myself last semester. It's an interesting topic.

  • I would do a video response... but i'm in a public location using smbody elses wifi... so nevermind.

    Passing Afternoon.

  • Turn, turn, turn. -the byrds

  • aces high

  • "If I Ever Leave This World Alive"

    -Flogging Molly

  • Good one!

  • Since I've Been Loving You - Led Zeppelin

    That's the perfect funeral song.

  • I've known it for a while....

Although I'm stuck between Freebird, by Lynyrd (although somewhat cheesy for a funeral..its still one of the best songs evar)

    You - Bad Religion

"theres a place where everyone can be happy, its the most beautifull place in the whole fuckin world"

  • "Happy Boy" by the Beat Farmers.

  • My inmortal - Evanescence

i think its a cool song and its very deep... i have no idea sam... there are too many... and here at yucatan are somany happy songs that i might put for my funeral... haha, i think i need to think about this a little more... love you... btw... have you warn the neighbors already? i might be there soon... ;)

  • we like to party - vengaboys

    video response on the way!!

I absolutely love that song, I think it definitely fits for the whole "vibe" of my funeral (or what it WILL be)

  • ha! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat question!!!!

But I can't say yet. I'm planning on living at least another 60 years, so who knows what kind of great music there will be in 60 years? If I HAVE to choose now, it will be "Dance on My Grave"

  • hahaha yea really :D

  • Who let the dogs out... of course..

  • Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up

  • Hell yea Xd

  • You're going to Rickroll a funeral?

  • As weird as it would be "Unworthy of Your Love" from "Assassins," not so much because it represents me or a funeral or anything like that, but because it represents everything I strive to be... Well, the music does... Or maybe "Only For Now" from "ave. Q"... Because I just would.

    Congrats on partner man. Yay!

Oh, and, me? Video response? You're kidding, right?

  • duality by slipknot

  • "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" just to remind the people who loved me enough to show up that I tried everything to keep them guessing and keep it light so they always had a bright place to share their laughter and a safer place to hide away their sadness. I have letters for each close friend and family member that are to be passed out at the service so they all have something from me to remind them of the important role they played in my life.(can't upload video until the new cam gets in sorry!!)
