The blood had not clotted even though no chemicals, such as EDTA or heparin, had been introduced at the time the blood was collected.

Manolis may have a good point if, by "fighting for rights," he means to say that Father Stan provided food and shelter to people who were poor. However, if the verb to fight implies support for armed conflict, then I would differ. This priest was at least the fifth priest murdered in the same area starting in 1978. Rother's death came just 2 weeks after a letter denouncing violence from Guatemala's bishops had been read aloud in 330 parishes countrywide.

he was probably fighting for the rights of the indigines "indians" i believe thats why they killed him..:( probably some mestizoes who were against his cause... i dont think it was a simple robbery.. (by the way poor peoples- nations are in generall short because of malnutrition and not nececerly because their genes make them short , for example the average height of people in western europe grew considerably after the economical and nutritional situation improved after the second world war )
