I know that's the popular consensus on the left, but that doesn't make it true. The Jewish diaspora resulted from the expulsion of the Jews from the land of Israel which they have been tied to for over 3500 years. The modern day Palestinians are descended of nomadic Arab tribes expelled by Jordan. There has never been a 'Palestine' or rather an officially sanctioned Palestinian state.

And yes, there is a large hypocrisy in the "Muslim world" in that certain issues are prioritized over others (you should study this in depth; IE how Arab governments use Israel as an "other" so citizens criticize Israel instead of their own govts). When the attacks happened in Mumbai....nobody protested other than the Indian Muslims. When Indian Muslims die....nobody protests. Same for Darfur...but if 1 Palestinian...uproar. Arab Blood >> Non-Arab I guess...
